For the PAGE RANK.
What's your startup page?
-
Google, of course.
-
Of course, which makes being anonymously berated (elsewhere) today for having the most popular search engine as my startup page all the more perplexing.
-
Gmail.
-
I mean, I'm not using WeatherBug or something equally insidious.
:kazz:!
-
Google, though I just changed it to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=worst+forums+ever because, hey, it's still an open google page.

Guild is now better than all of you to the power of infinity plus three.

I don't want anything loading when I'm trying to get somewhere. If I did want something, it'd be Wikipedia, or maybe a Google News page, but I rarely Google search unless I'm looking for images to turn into really clever jokes. (http://brontoforum.us/index.php?topic=514.msg11085#msg11085)

The fact that it is an immensely useful, commonly-used page isn't the whole reason it's my homepage. Half the reason the page was chosen over another is that it's clean. Load time is negligible, so it's more of a system check than an actual URL.

Opera Speed Dial.
Why does Opera never get the respect it deserves?
-
It might have to do with most widgets being inferior to their Firefox plug-in counterparts, and that it looks weird on some color schemes. (The latter was largely fixed somewhere within the past year, memory serving.)
It runs fast and all, but if it doesn't do enough of what people want, well...
-
A local page of links that are slowly becoming irrelevant and that I'm too lazy to fix. :nyoro~n:
-
BBC News.
-
Technically it's set to my blog, but seeing as I always have it restore to wherever I had it the last time it was open, that's what I actually get.
-
iGoogle (http://www.google.com/ig), which has a few feeds attached, though most of them I ignore.
