World of Warcraft / Sexy Cataclysm Quests
« on: November 28, 2010, 10:54:39 AM »
Cataclysm has a lot of quests but obviously they aren't all worth doing and some are unchanged from the old world. Here's some of the fun ones I've at least come across without spoiling too much. I've only done these Horde side so far.

    • A quest chain for a goblin named Rhea is related to Cataclysm's story. Do quests in Fuselight to lead into her chain.
    • Theldurin the Lost and his friends have some interesting stories to tell and by interesting I mean AWESOME.

In Winterspring with a quest from Everlook you will be sent to find a machine called Echo 3 and you might find yourself in a reenactment of a scene from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

In Grom'gol the finding of a raptor hatchling leads to an interesting turn of events in the end and a bit where you'll want to break out the Metal Gear mp3s.

In Azshara at the Secret Lab there's a raptor seeking a new frontier to explore. Not to mention a logging operation to help with by Orgrimmar's gates.

In Thousand Needles, helping to defend the Speedbarge will make travelling around the zone a bit more fun.

I'm posting this up to help out a friend of mine from elsewhere on the internet.

Keep a look out for this fucker. That's my cousin he has.

Gaming Discussion / Too Many Toys!
    « on: July 27, 2009, 02:42:44 PM »
Ok, so buying games digitally is great, right? No, in fact I think it has become too convenient. With Steam discounts, the amount of good $10-20 games, and whatever else I quite honestly have ended up with too huge of a backlog now of games I may forget I even have by the time I can get to them. I think "ooh I like that one and it's cheap" and buy it, and then I do it again, and again, and again before I can even finish the first one until it just becomes unmanageable and I end up not getting to some games until years later if ever(Star Wars: KotR still lies unbeaten and mostly unplayed). I almost long the days I had to go out to buy any game.

Ok, maybe I'm an impulse buyer with these, but still.

    LP Hell / Let's Play Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss/Dracula X(SNES)

First attempt at an LP. Go. No chance to get loud in this so my few moments of rage are a bit subdued in the noise level.

Real Life / Let's Get Conventional
    « on: January 11, 2009, 10:12:05 AM »
So normally there are only two conventions I go to every year since they are the only two reasonably close to me. Ohayocon and Colossalcon. Ohayocon is up in the air for me this year and happens at the end of the month, pending whether I get unemployment confirmed before the end of the month after I get laid off next week. But later on in June there's Colossalcon, another anime con that is moving to Sandusky this year since it seems to keep growing larger each year. Normally that's nothing special, but they are moving to a larger convention center/hotel resort that also has a water park! At but a mere $118 a night for a room, you get awesome room, and 4 passes to the waterpark at no charge($20 for each after). I am aware that very few of you live near the area, but there is much potential for a great weekend here.

Online Hookers / Legend of the Century's End Brawl
    « on: November 05, 2008, 09:33:40 AM »
Gentlemen. Long has Doom been the Brawl Champion and gone unopposed in his tyranny. I purpose a tournament of brawlers to see that one challenger may rise up from among many and finally end his reign at the top.

    The Rules
Matches will take place based on terms that both Brawlers agree with.
Matches will take place at the convenience of both Brawlers within a reasonable timeframe.
Matches will be one on one matches.
Tournament ladder format will be followed with a secondary losing bracket to allow one of the fallen a chance to take on the finalist one last time. The way the ladder will be set up by default will be decided in the near future.
The finalist of the tournament will face Doom, the successor of Wavebird no Shinken in a final match(es) to determine who shall be named Brawl King.

    Two New Rules:
At the discretion of both fighters, a preliminary warm-up match can occur before the official brawl. This does not effect the standings of the future matches.
In the case of lag, either one or an entire series of brawls may be re-fought as real men only consider victories won without lag to be true victories.

High-Context Discourse / April Fools wankery
    « on: April 01, 2008, 06:49:05 AM »
It happens every year. The internet has a race to see who can pull off the biggest April Fools joke online.
Here's the best I've seen so far:
I expect most of it to die after a day so I want to see the best of it before it does.
