I like this train of thought.

How about fossilized.brontoforum.us?

Edit: Didn't see this:
(currently leaning heavily towards fossilized.brontoforum.us)

So, are we copying content over?
Archiving and 301ing it?
Something else?

Nevermind, apparently Vanilla has core support for friendly urls, including ones that involve your username.  God only knows what a carat, hammer and sickle, or exponent number would do to that.

So, there's one limitation so far, unless somebody uncovers a plugin to fix that cleanly.
Caret would be easy to escape. Shit like the hammer and sickle can probably be escaped for URLs via percent-encoding its UTF-8 representation.

Exactly how to do that is left as an exercise for assholes with special characters in their handles.

There's probably a Vanilla module/setting for international names. I imagine it should cover UTF-8 in general, which will include your hammersicklebidness.

Here's a rarity.

Minecraft is actually on sale, for once. $17 (via gamedealdaily.com).

They were running this sale a couple days ago and ran out of stock pretty quickly. Looks like they're back in stock for the time being.

From wiki:

Discourse     User-selectable themes     No

So yeah, let's not do discourse ever, ok.

Stylish (Chrome, Firefox) lets you impose your personal design on the web.

Might not be that bad throwing together something in flask, sinatra, etc., depending on what you wrote it in.

I don't even know what you mean by "the core concept of cloud storage."

There's stuff to store. You either (1) don't have room for it, or (2) you need the same stuff, even though you're not "home."

It's just public storage with delivery. That's it. You can probably even skip the library analogy.

Try explaining how the cloud works to your 88 year old grandmother.

Go on.
It's a library filled with just your books.

You sit at your desk. The porter fetches and removes books for you. They're yours, though, so you can do what you will with them, before they get shipped back out.

Whatever you do, don't play it on a PS3.

Here's one for you Platinum Games (Bayonetta, MGR:Revengeance, etc.) fans.

The Wonderful 101 is selling for $30 (down from $60) on Target, Gamestop, Amazon, and Best Buy.

Gloom and doom of losing Thunder may've been slightly overstated in terms of impact on fun. Can't speak as to the DPS loss on single targets, not that I'm doing relevant content. Still sort of wary of continuing to main SMN, though.

They also paved the spawn points of the fates needed for CT keying with tears.

Keying is definitely something I didn't miss in MMOs.

PCs make it easier for players to host decentralized game servers. Players would rather host their own shit than pay monthly. I can run Starbound, Terraria, etc. servers, so I wouldn't want to shell out.

Until the last gen or two, that would've been computationally expensive for consoles.

On the console side, PSN+'s freebies supposedly offer good values. XBL was just "pay us or go fuck yourselves."

The deal with PSN+ becoming mandatory on the PS4 is that Sony is claiming they'll use fees from it to keep servers for games up. This hopefully means less evaporating multi-player support (see: Demon's Souls).

So, while it sounded bad, at first, it may be a boon to players who use online multi-player consistently enough to justify it. This assumes that Sony will be controlling the servers.

My understanding is that some companies (EA) are not playing ball with this, wanting to keep tight control for themselves. Maybe their plan is to eventually force people to buy season passes or pay monthly to EA to keep their servers up. EA is nothing if not innovative in the field of villainy.

No. There were many tears about the lack of Diablo III offline play.

Stuff from soldiers, people with flaky connections, etc. was showing up on forums.

You beat her by decrypting the game, getting RPGMaker, and changing her stats.

Best Buy has FFXIII-2 is on sale for $10. If, uh... you're into that kind of thing.
