Based on the highly scientific method of watching my avatar dance to both songs, I have picked SONIC 3

But seriously, I've always loved how ridiculously ominous that track is for a sonic game

Really really hard.

It's actually hard for me to listen to FF6 music nowadays. I listened to it almost religiously when I was a kid, to the point where it now occupies a totally different part of my mind. It's actually hard to sit down and appreciate it beyond some kind of abstract, like I've just put it on this higher mental tier.

So Dancing Mad doesn't excite me as much as Meridian Dance, like Lyrai said. But it has Kefka's lietmotif in it and I fucking love lietmotifs.

At the same time though, I've always loved just how well Meridian Dance itself matches the rhythm of the fight, how the little pause segment before it goes into the second half of the melody matches up with the casting of Mana Sword if you time it just right....

Fuck it, I'm voting for Meridian Dance

Nonsense. Kowloon was the posterchild for modular build-it-yourself construction.

Just give Ikealand 5 years.

I love it but ever since Deadwood I've been horribly paranoid about HBO and lavish expensive period pieces

Yes I know it's fantasy and not technically a "period piece" but it still means "huge fucking sets and a retarded costume budget"

Was Rome axed early or was it always planned to be short? I haven't finished it.

no spoilers guys I want to see if Caesar makes it or not

Using Final Boss instead of Battle 2 made me sit down and listen. I'd be too biased towards the latter, since I used it as a ringtone so long hearing it still makes me sit up and look for my phone.

The Mystic Quest track is a skillfull use of the SNES's sound capabilities. It's nicely rhythmic, and it doesn't lean too hard towards either "rock guitar shredding" or "triumphant fantasy orchestral", finding a middle ground inbetween.

The Super Meat Boy track is generic electronica that you could probably find in any given flash game.

Point: Mystic Quest.

I gotta vote for Devil May Sly. God Hand's tracks just go so well with the actual fight, they have this energy and rhythm that enhances the experience.

Oracle is brutal and dark for an otherwise pretty cheery game and it sort of hits you out of nowhere, so this is a hard decision.

FF7's theme is a nice example of solid Uematsu rock, with an energetic beat and that organ going off all over the place.

But Magus's theme has so much more going for it. The slow build at the beginning into the sudden burst of trumpets, the technically impressive use of the SNES's capabilities, mixing in those weird wailing/vocal bits. I think overall it's both a more emotional song and a more interesting one.

Magus for this round.

But damn Meikai, metagaming is bad

Something incredibly obscene to make the media and government intelligence coverage of it difficult and awkward unless they can really stick to codenames well.

Since I am basically retarded until the playing field narrows down I'm going to go with Disposable Ninja here. It's that or Envy and killing Envy on Day 1 is like kicking a puppy.
