Sometimes I wonder if NOA doesn't use certain names (like Wotter or Emboar) because people on the internet think them up.

Records do it too

Um... there's a B3 here but I've abandoned this project for a new take on similar themes.

Weapons becoming invisible happens to everyone basically at random. Next time it happens, open the console and type
Code: [Select]
record fix;stop
That might do it. Otherwise I think you need to try cl_reloadhud or cl_reloadallmaterials or something

If those don't work, then I really dont know

It's not that bad. Signs are pretty innocuous.

I played on a server today that used this. While we don't know how it's going to be affected by Sunday's update, I'd highly recommend we use the hey0 mod and some of the plugins. The server I played on had a variety of features, including the ability to /sethome to relocate individual spawn points (but which doesn't affect compasses—they still point to the original spawn), /warp to teleport players to any location an admin has keyworded, player privileges which prevent unsolicited visitors from being able to access the contents of chests or destroy any existing blocks, rollback commands to either restore the entire server or selected portions, the admin ability to move entire pieces of landscape, an admin command to remove all TNT in an N-block radius, and more. It seems like the sort of thing we could really use.
I run this mod/plugin

The tnt removal is probably part of the Cuboid Plugin. I'm not sure what they're doing for rolling back part of the world unless that's also Cuboid -- you can select areas 3D cubes of any size and save them, copy them, paste them, delete them, whatever. It also lets you make spheres of any size, cylinders and disks. It's actually incredibly useful. It also lets you lock chests I think and create area ownership with either single user rights or group priveleges

Other plugins for hey0's mod that are useful: CraftIRC, which runs an IRC relay -- I make the dev add something in every week or so; QuickPort, which lets you hop around a map using a compass

There's something that makes dynamic signs but I forget what it is -- basically they tell you game time, irl time, or can warp you (ie, Click here to go to SUPERDUNGEON).

There's also in an game email plugin and one that forces the server to loop a certain time interval, ie day or twilight or whatever

all in all I recommend you guys use hey0's mod; it's got a ton of shit built in by default and the plugins make it invaluable. Plus it's probably the only mod that is good enough to use /commands rather than !commands so people doing shit doesn't spam the fucking chat

Setting it up is a bit weird at first but it makes sense once you look at it long enough

I have my own profile/copy of TF2 now, so that's all Norondor, but I'll tell him all the same

I thought it was you, but couldn't remember.

Brentai is there some way I can facilitate your copying of that at all? I'm not really sure if there is anything to do but download and reupload, but if there is and you need my help, well... I check this forum like 40 times a day just hoping someone will post stuff about Knytt, so I'll see it.

Not exactly sure where to put this but

Who did I set up with map hosting one time, and do you guys still use it now that you have a dedicated server? (this)

At the end of the year I will be moving to a new domain and housecleaning will commence, and this'll probably go since I am no longer involved here and was never involved with TF2 here anyway

But if you already don't use it, I'll get rid of it now because I'm trying to do my housecleaning gradually rather than being overwhelmed later

It doesn't have to hook into MySQL, but it does in case you want to build a web admin interface around it.

95% sure, anyway.

in my experience that usually means it needs resetting

ANYWAY

I wanted to show you guys this http://github.com/brownan/Minecraft-Overviewer

It's a python script that makes a google maps interface for your minecraft world, sort of like if Cartographer or whatever were good. First time running it is pretty nuts (took me about an hour with 5000 chunks) but after that it gets better due to caching.

The world I run is here http://suckramento.org/tldmc/pigland/ -- not too built up, but that's an example.

thought you guys might like it.

also, if you use hey0's mod, there's a script you can get in the discussion area that turns warp points into markers. think there is one for sign posts too somewhere.
