I actually think that E3 is a good place to shoot to eliminate them being in the top row of the map and it might hit them too if they went where I guessed they might have gone in my diagram there.

So if we shoot C3 we get this:

RED - first shot echo
GREEN - C3 shot echo
YELLOW - potential tricky sub move
ORANGE - Naughty boost

So the question is, what do we want to do. I guess really, our aim is not to make sure the next shot echos, it's to locate the sub. So at this point maybe getting it to not echo is actually in our best interest as that will locate it.

It's sort of like doing a negative test for collision in a video game. The collision box of an object on the screen in a game is generally smaller than the total area of the screen. So, it's faster to check if something isn't colliding with you than to test if it is.

Kazz, do the binocular dudes spot where the ship is at the start of the night or after the wolves move that night?

So the ship can now theoretically be anywhere up to space 4.
The bads profit most from making the game last as few turns as possible, but the special extra move is probably something they want to save for a trump card.
So I'm leaning to G:3 unless anyone wants to volunteer new information.

Why space 4? I thought its top speed was two spaces. Oh right, the Naughty Captain.

When I tried this a month ago no one was playing this at all. Did it suddenly get players?

It doesn't have a ton, but there's like "enough". I mostly play with Kazz so it doesn't matter much to me one way or the other.

I just started playing. The game froze on me.

The Chrome version? That doesn't work for me either, get the pc version it's on that same download page.

So Kazz and I have been messing around with, Airmech and it's pretty cool.

It's that new online version of the old sega game Herzog Zwei. You can play 1v1 like the old game or teams of 2v2, 3v3, etc. Also, you get to pick your unit load out. So you can go say, assault heavy or defensive or money making heavy, just whatever units and other things you like.

Also there's lots of different "airmechs" that all have different stats and capabilities. Pretty much all of them shoot with left click/trigger and then they have some right click/trigger ability you can level up. For instance, the helicopter fires missiles and the default plain looking one has a beam sword and shield. They all have a couple of passive abilities that make that airmech feel different than the others as you level them up too. Like, the helicopter gets better at carrying things and has armour upgrades where as the plane gets increased damage on it's attacks and takes reduced damage from attacks at the cost of energy instead of health with it's energy shield, stuff like that. The Saucer has a teleport move and there's a bomber looking one that can't shoot other airmechs when it's in the air but instead drops bombs so it can attack grounds units with impunity.

It's all freemium model too where you can earn access to non basic units and airmechs with "kudos" or real money. Oh also, I like how in your "army" you can pick things that aren't even units to be able to build. There's things like rocket boosters where you build them and then pick them up like you would a unit but they just make you fly super fast until they run out or you drop them and similarly, there's bombs you can build and then just drop on things.

There's lots of different kinds of "infantry" too. They all capture bases but then their other capability is different. Normal soldiers shoot, fixers repair vehicles they happen by that are damaged, there's suicide bomber guys and then there are probes that are just deficated base capturers that don't shoot or do anything but move really fast.

Pretty cool looking platformer, just skip past their boring introduction to the actual game footage. The main character animates really nice. I like his jump landing especially. I also like how all his powerups are visible gear on the character.

His voice reminded me a lot of Gold Finger for some reason. The accent is sort of different, but it's a similar voice. You know, just muffled by a crazy pain killer mask.

Yes you missed the entire point.

NOTHING makes me say F1.

This is the first turn and I frankly don't see any reason for the wolves to pick any space over any other space. In my opinion the game will be determined by use of powers as the turns progress. I'm not going to bother trying to out guess the wolves with no actual information at hand.

So I'm just voting for a random square for now. We have no idea if they are trying to second, third, fourth, etc guess us so a random stab in the dark has the same chance of succeeding as anything else.

Yeah, Good aligned clerics can "turn" undead, returning them to the grave or destroying them where as Evil aligned ones like I always played can "control" undead instead, conducting them to go forth and evily ravage the living.

This movie was really cool. It didn't have the amazing Joker performance of the Dark Knight to make it SPELLBOUNDING like that movie, but the cleverness of the writing and enrapturing quality of the constant motion of the plot is very similar to that of the Dark Knight. Everything amazed and delighted me except for a handful of tiny sour grapes.

  • The doomsday device was a little lame for me. I mean come on, it even had a big cartoon timer on it for fuck's sake
  • My real name IS ROBIN.................... What? Come on you can do better than that man, that's pretty fucking weak.
  • I can't, there's no auto pilot... I mean, there is... PSYCHE! Thinking back on this, I get it; he needed Gotham to think he was dead so he could actually retire. But at the time I was like "...What was the point of that?"
  • Batman and Bane fighting always looked pretty awesome without ever being over the top or anything... but why was the fight coreography and just general in fight acting of Bane's goons so bad in a lot of spots? When Batman saves Robin from the guys that are going to shoot him, they seriously wait their turn and fight him one at a time all fake looking and Batman never takes any of them down in a convincing fashion in my opinion. Later the cops attack a guy on the back of a technical and he literally just stands there, both emotionless and unmoving like he's a dummy or something while they jump on the truck and kick him away from his machine gun. Throughout the whole movie a lot of them just never showed any emotion like they were fighting or anything pretty much just look like they are waiting to get punched or kneed or whatever. It was a little distracting. Thankfully there's not that many fist fights really and Batman fighting Bane is actually well acted by both of them, but like Christ, could you hire ACTORS to play the goons next time and not like I dunno, Mexican day labourers.

Anyway, Robin was cool and so was Catwoman. Also it took watching the movie for me to understand why Catwoman was even in it which was a big worrying mystery to me going in. The Batman needed a few new allies in order to believably stop Talia's revenge. Him and Gordon without even Dent to help them just weren't going to cut it this time. Having Robin around was handy, but you can't have an established Robin around out of nowhere with no arc creating him first and proto Robin can't help enough, he can't fight a whole bunch of guys and beat them believably. You need a costume to do that. So you need an other traditional ally of the Batman who can come in pre-established without having to know Batman already in order to exist. Catwoman is really the only option.

I'm glad they never called her Catwoman, her heels and her goggle ears were a BIT much. I wish they had stopped at her wearing a cat outfit at the charity ball, that would have been classier but whatever. I mean, I guess the Joker did have his makeup and his suit but like I dunno. The ears felt a little bit like if Two-face had worn a tailored split pattern suit to me. At least they stopped before she had a whip. I never thought I'd be thankful for that...

Did anyone else feel the Talia reveal was super obvious from the introduction of her character?

I caught on pretty much immediately and then the otherwise pointless clue drop that she was poor originally hammered it home. But I don't think it was "super obvious". For one thing, I heard in an early rumour back when they were still casting the movie that Talia was going to be in it. So as soon as this foreign sounding woman came on screen who acted like she had the hots for bats and then we learned unnecessary details about her for some no-name character it all clicked for me. However, I don't know if I would have been so fast to be like "TALIA, THAT'S TOTALLY TALIA" in my head without that rumour also bouncing around in there.

BUT

even with that said, Nolan really smartly kept her low profile and threw a bunch of exciting things in your face right before her reveal with the knife to the point that I actually forgot about her until she stabbed him. So amazingly, even knowing it was her, he still suprised me with the reveal. Then on top, he made it sort of a double reveal with the whole "she was the child in the prison, not Bain" thing and that made it even cooler even though I saw her being that character coming.

I guess I just wasn't really thinking about it enough during the movie to put it all together "Oh right, child of Ra's, that's not Bain, that's Talia". But then in my defense again, he keeps her really out of sight a lot and doesn't dangle her around much and also, I really had no idea what he was keeping "accurate to the comics" and what he was changing. There was really no reason for me to doubt that he would just write Bain in as Ra's kid. I mean why not? He changed the location and nature of his prison to fit the movie better, why not change his father too?
