Timing-based puzzles in games where your character cannot be relied upon to move briskly.

I'm on a puzzle near the end of Zack and Wiki where you have less than ten seconds to point and click your way over to a frog, shake the Wiimote to turn it into a bomb, pick up the frogbomb, carry it to a circle on the floor, drop it in the circle, and get out of there.

nope nope nope nuh-uh

ninety percent chance of me trading this in and watching the ending on youtube or something right there

He's not on Earth, he's in the medium.  Killed by imps/ogres/basilisks/whateverthefuck.  So, how did he get to the medium?
I assume he's in someone else's session.

Next I think I'll be stealing taking inspiration from the Jet Set Radio controller I posted in the vidjagame images thread.

I'll probably have to disassemble the controller, though. That could be problematic.

Demosprite and I are now bros, for having both gotten free Dreamcasts completely by accident.

Except mine came with Shenmue and I would kill for a copy of Jet Grind Radio.

Good thing these things are easy to burn! :whoops:

They're actually Tenderflake.

Everything else is all me, though, and it's about 50% "I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm going to just wing it. I have no fucking clue how to prepare mushrooms OR chicken. The recipe didn't even call for peas. I just tossed 'em in like a motherfucker.

also I really need to buy a proper dining table, huh?

Two weeks ago, I finally realized that you can put a ton of shit in instant ramen.

Last week, I learned how to make these:

Today, I learned how to make these:

I am pleased with my exponential progression of cookery. :goodnews:

So this morning had some kind of massive system error and dropped all of their consoles and handhelds (including bundles) to the $9-$25 range. Right now everything is marked as sold out, possibly just a safety measure to keep people from ordering them until the problem gets sorted out.

This is gonna' have some interesting repercussions.

All thanks to that one guy in that one thread.

Not as boss up close, unfortunately, but still.

I may add more to it when I have money to buy more paint markers.

Dude's entire website is like this.

It's all done using Posca markers too. No airbrushing. Considering that my own Dreamcast looks like ass, it's VERY tempting to follow this example. :jizz:

I hate to be "I can't believe you don't recognize ______" guy, but I can't believe you don't recognize Earthbound.

Specifically, its fanart of the postgame. You could run around and keep doing stuff even after you beat Giygas. That was sort of your reward: getting to play in the world you saved.

This would have gone in the other video thread, but most of those are unwatchable and this is just bewildering.

And catchy.

I manage to not buy Other M by reminding myself that I haven't even gotten through Crateria in Trilogy.  You, uh, don't have that hook, so I guess you're fucked.
I'm on the beginning of Prime 2 in Trilogy. I probably should do that first.

Also I still have to finish Super, Fusion, Zero Mission (Stuck on Mother Brain), the original, and Minitroid (final boss).

hey guys

Metroid: Other M goes on sale at work tomorrow. It may be as low as ten dollars and I've been wanting to play it again for a while. I know it's the worst Metroid game, but still...
...ten dollars.
