It's the Medic in you. You just can't stand to inflict the same headshots you have so often suffered, or seen your patients suffer. It's clearly a subtle form of PTSD.

Blackout flashbacks. You think they're all snipers, or possibly Vietcong.

It could also be that i like subjecting people to painful and unneccessary surgical procedures without anaesthetic.

Do you at least clean them first?  I mean, they're all covered in bacteria.  And you know what's great for killing bacteria?  FIRE!!! ::D:

I know the reason why I don't get headshots is because I have terrible aim, anyway.

I'm a very inconsistent Sniper. Either I'm in this perfect zone where each head seems to be drawn to my dot like a big gooey magnet, or the polarity is reversed and I can't him them to save my life.

I always have the exact same problem as Noro: Last-second twitch-city.

But then in FPS, I'm always the guy who runs right out front screaming, all weapons blazing, throwing every grenade on his body. This is why I love playing any FPS with a: in-match respawns and b: goal-based scoring. My kill ratios are always horrifyingly awful, but damned if I don't keep my eyes on the prize.

Probably the best time I ever had playing online FPS was Day of Defeat. I loved the forced teamwork. The whole game was perfect for my playstyle. Though DoD also featured the single worst FPS match I ever played in my life: D-Day. Playing on the Allies side.

And EVERYBODY ON MY TEAM DECIDED TO TRY AND PLAY SNIPER.

FROM THE BEACH.

Yeah, there was a lot of exasperated screaming that night.

A TF2 thread wherein Mister Saturn pretends he is the best pyro? Color me amused.  ::(:

You can tell who's a bad pyro pretty easily. They're the ones that take the flare gun over the shotty and then make themselves believe that it's a good weapon against anything but the most middling of snipers. Oh no! you can light me on fire to deal 50 damage slowly over time with a weapon you have to lead and adjust trajectory for! What ever is a class with a hitscan weapon that can kill you with one shot to do?

Use the fucking shotty. When you are looking at burning but reloading soldier who's just out of flame thrower range, you'll thank me. There's a reason that Combined Fire is among the easiest pyro achievements to get.

Good thing that's 90+ percent of them.

Even in official Valve screenshots the sniper is a twat that cant prioritize targets properly

That's funny, the only middling snipers I've run across, in the few servers I've played on, were me.   :sadpanda:

Sure they might have good aim, but do they care about their TEAM winning?

no, they care about shooting that other sniper regardless of what else is happening.

No, no.  They were quite efficient.  The only reason I'd become a sniper was because the other sniper was killing us so good.  I'm good enough that they have to pay attention to me or die, but not good enough to keep them from killing me if they want to.

The best Sniper kills everyone he can see, thus instilling a pants wetting fear in the enemy team, preventing them from moving forward regardless of safety.
