I don't know how you would prove otherwise, but I'd call you a filthy liar.

We're slowly learning about you, though.

Fortunately, he's in no danger of RapeHentai.com showing up in his Google New Tab Page.

Best thing that ever happened like that in a 'post your desktop!' thread was on another board I used to frequent. Seen minimized in the taskbar was a FF window with the label 'Cock Ring Size Chart'.

Though the desktop with the folder labelled 'Elf Pr0n' was amusing.

Centered on black, icons hidden, start-menu hidden.

It's there because I thought it might help me remember something, even though I've long since aced (and inexplicably forgotten) trig.  (It also looks kind of cool, maybe slightly reminiscent of old TV test patterns.)

If I ever get off of my ass, I'll edit into a larger construction that includes formulas I'm afraid I'll forget.  Ideally, there'll be some way to generate such a wallpaper without having to learn TeX.

This should probably go in the wallpaper thread, but eh.  My desktop is perpetually hidden either by a game, or by a combination of Firefox, Notepad++, trillianPidgin, Console, and other shit of the sort.

that URL makes me think of like, the scene where bob is at work in the incredibles, but with a Frankenstein instead of a superman.

Who wants to help me remake The Munsters? :D

Dis one rite here. I usually go for natural scenes as desktops. With icons (though I usually have them off).

There's a limit to how small they can get in Vista.  Not that that excuses Fred.

I could scale mine down I think, but why bother? I have like ten, with most everything else secreted away in the quick launch or Steam, and my monitor is huge.

...did everyone ignore the part where I have my icons off most of the time? Because I swear I said that.

Also I don't know what the deal is with the large Fallout 2 icon.

Picasa

The first two are my old desktop under xoblite, which I miss, and the last is my current one.

In the newest shot, those gadgets are Google Desktop running. That web clips gadget is sweet, especially in keeping up with this forum; it grabs RSS feeds in webpages you visit automatically, but you can still exclude whatever you want. It's like roll-your-own-newsreader-without-doing-anything. Also visible is their Gmail-in-a-gadget gadget, which I use to trash messages I don't care about without opening a browser.

I normally don't have that many desktop icons, but I've been playing with Chrome's Application Shortcut option, I'm sure they'll be gone soon.

I love xoblite, as well, but there were certain things about it that got to me eventually. I still have my installation folder and all old settings, so I can get back to it pretty much instantly, which rules.

Thread bumped after a month's rest. I'm like a NECROMANCER
WISE FWOM YOW GWAVE

EDIT: Nice Royale Black, Arc. In that vein, has anyone here had any luck with custom XP themes, the kind you can get at customize.org that require the UX3-patcher-thingy to work? That was the missing piece of my xoblite puzzle for a long time; I was never happy that my Windows interface colors couldn't match my xoblite style.
