Apparently, the New X-Box Experience has issues with HDMI outputs, and it will completely kill the audio coming from the X-Box.

This makes Dohl irate.

I learned a new insult today! 'Spherical bastards'. Meaning, no matter how you look at them, they're still bastards.

Driving even a fraction of an inch into a curb-like obstacle, if you're at 50 miles per hour on a wet road at night, can make your car turn a full 360 and cause you to nearly die from -other- vehicles running you down.

White noise generators actually generate pink noise.

I think red noise (or brownian noise) is nicer, though.

Over the weekend, I learned that tampons are very handy to have around in case of abdominal wounds.

Actually, I had drill this weekend, and I found out that tampons are now a standard part of most CLS(combat life saver) kits.

No, it's true. I read that Russian special forces use tampons in kits. They're cheap, in abundant supply, manufactured to high safety standards, and are the best thing for soaking up blood. No point in investing millions to invent new bandages when the feminine hygeine industry has done it already.

For similar reasons, the British army uses the Xbox 360 controller to control UAVs.

I'll be disappointed if one of your nicks isn't Vagina Products McGuyver by the end of this.

The tampons are really the most unusual thing in there, the rest of it is fairly standard stuff, IVs, israel bandages, tourniquets, asherman seals, nasal pharyngeal tubes, splints, tape, medic's scissors, those things they shove down peoples' throats all the time on House...

This one does all three. Or claims to. I don't know.
