Okay, you can't do it yourself because of spasms.  Got it.

I can't do it because I'm not an ear doctor. My mother simply told me "If you want to put drops in your ear without the pain you need to let me do it"

...Via Lyrai's tragic example (sorry for your episode(s), Lyrai - you have my empathy), I've learned that I'd never want to be isolated from a specialist should I develop another case of kidney stones so bad they require surgery.

Can we... Like... Think up something that would stop the zombies from eating doctors, electricians, engineers, and the like? Seriously, rotters. Eating whoever's handy is an utter dick move.

You can, in fact, survive in space for about 45 seconds if you don't hold your breath.  This is very comforting to me as I've always had an irrational fear of dying in space.  And yes, I know in exactly how many ways that fear is totally ridiculous.

That's probably true. Your eardrums will pop like moldy corn kernels, though.

And I'm pretty sure something bad happens to your eyes. I think the capillaries burst or something.

Isn't there pockets of air in your sinuses?

God help you if there's gas in your colon.

The point is, you won't die.

For 45 seconds.

In which you will experience most of the above.

Welp, better hit the old dusty trail...

I'd pop like a Fuel-Air MOAB.

I said survive.  I didn't say you'd particularly have a good time.  As it turns out you won't stay conscious after 15 seconds, which is actually good because that's about when the eye-freezing and capillary-bursting starts.

You can't forget all the various and sundry cancers you'll get from the unhindered solar radiation.

Wait.... Are you saying that the episode of Cowboy Bebop with the thing from the fridge doesn't provide an unrealistic scene when the demonfridge is kicked out the airlock?!?!? :ohshi~:

If you're going to invoke Bebop, then the asteroid truckers ep is better since he actually exposes himself to the vacuum of space in that one.

For 15 seconds.  Unless you're really close to the sun, it's not a huge issue.

I never got that far in the series, but apparently that's one of the best examples.  Spike survives with minor unpleasant side effects, while the other guy dies from actual explosive decompression (due to the pressure around your body changing rapidly, not just from not being there).
