"Bitch, the kid is not my son"

It never occured to me to consider the abortion angle. Or that this story was untrue in any way. Wish I'd reacted in a more thoughtful manner.

I thought the point was to debate the morality of the tale as presented, not to debate whether it was true at all.

:objection: Unless there's some glaring inconsistency we've missed, it seems pointless to argue whether this actually happened.

The stronger you punch, the better the door. So there are like super strong murderers who punch people into Venetian doors and shit"

That'd be a fun exercise.  Let's find an anecdote on the internet, especially one containing no personal details whatsoever, then attempt to prove that the event described didn't really happen.

I was told almost this exact story a couple of weeks ago, except in the version I was told, he let it go all the way to court before pulling out the docs, adding a bit of public humiliation to the tale. A quick google search shows it popping up on at least a couple of other sites, too.

Next time do a little research before you go all  :derp: and , guys.

This is my issue with it, mainly.  It's so glaringly one-sided that you'd can't really debate the morality of it as presented.

Hey. It's pretty damn important what our urban legends say about us. They're reflections of what we really want. And apparently we want shiftless blacks, dumb blondes, mexican rats, and justification for our unspoken belief that all women are evil, manipulative sluts.

That's why I prefer Japanese urban legends.

This is funny, because just yesterday, I saw my roommate's cat sticking his entire head into one of his old shoes.

Well, this is now an entire forum about how fucking lame all of you are.

Hm...should I go for the obvious comeback?

This story was familiar to me because I heard someone tell it to a Seattle radio show possibly around the same time the Craigslist article is dated.  I don't know what that says about its authenticity, but I'm just throwing it out there.
