Ugh, Zed, my hand is cramping up from all the French it had to write address this card. Now, I took Latin in school, so all those accented letters are lost on me. What the shit is up with that crazy C-with-a-tail in the middle of your name? It looks like when a goldfish can't pinch a turd off and swims around the bowl with with it dangling off. And that's just gross.

The cedilla is there so my name is pronounced Franswah instead of Frankwah. It has very little to do with fishes in mid-defecation, but it's good of you to hazard a guess!

Now all I have to figure out is the meaning behind the numbers 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 that pop out of the "12 days of Christmas"-themed card. (I could do without the leaping lords, but the dancing ladies are a nice touch.)

Merry Christmas Kabbage! I'm writing this very slowly because this is my 14th card and my hand is really cramping and I've had 3 or 4 beers. That said, I probably should have addressed all the envelopes first in one stretch because they are getting pretty hard to read. That, or I'm too buzzed to read. Woo!

Long overdue.

Merry Christmas, Kayma! The first of these cards I wrote turned out a bit heavy and introspective - ask McDohl about it - so I'm doing all I can to be light and cheerful! Maybe it's just the day I'm writing that is affecting me; who know!

It's been a good year for me: I became a homeowner, managed to ride nearly as many miles by bike as I drove by car, and overcame what I've come to realize was an eating disorder (see thread "Fatty Fatty Fat Fat"). I feel, though, that a lot of this progress has come at the expense of friendships and whatnot, so maybe it's not all great.

You and I should talk sometime - I seem to recall doing that at least once in a time long past.
