Mabinogi

So. I've been playing a new MMO called Mabinogi. Somebody described it to me as Harvest Moon the MMO, and I haven't really had a decent way to explain the game myself beyond that, until now.

I've been playing this game with my fiance for the last month or so. Like most korean MMORPGs, it's basically a lot of grinding, but it makes a lot of interesting innovations that might come as a surprise to people.

The combat system is incredibly complex, but once you have an understanding of the game's mechanics you can basically solo everything in the game with your bare hands at level 1 with no armor and no points in any abilities past the learning 'novice' rank.

On the same hand though, the complexity makes the game frustratingly hard until you figure it the fuck out. Unfortunately for the party-minded individual, this is a free game populated mostly by pre-teens, so those of you who played FFXI are going to have terrible, terrible memories of Valkrum that will most surely keep you away from the game.

The game's honestly the best korean MMO I've played in a long, long time, but that's not really saying much.

I just spent like four hours playing it, and I'm shocked how not-bored I got. It was surprising to me how much I got into it, just following quests around, gaining new skills and stuff. And yeah, the combat system is pretty great.

For some reason, this game runs smoothly on my laptop no matter what I do to it. This is the first time such a thing has happened to me. 1280x800, all details, GeForce Go 6150, 1.6 Turion 64x2, 32-bit WinXP Pro (none of this is impressive for a laptop), lolwut? Nothing but blue skies and smooth sailing/animations.

Classic has started wasting time with this thing. What server are you useless pricks on?

He doesn't actually mean that. He's sure you useless pricks are both useful and girthy.

Also maybe he is just pissed because he realizes he is going to clean, but the cleaning isn't going to matter because the landlord is just going to charge him for calling in a roach sighting and nuking the grounds anyway.
Why is he so ranting?
