I got spam in the mail today. I'm calling it spam and not junk mail because it was for my website. The whole thing was a bill for $65 saying I owe them that much for putting my website through search engine and hosting fees. And to send in a check right now and if I send them my bank info, I can just have them take money from my account.

Only on the back, at the very bottom, in fine print does it say "Not a bill but a solicitation for your consideration."

So, there's this call that we keep getting that opens with a foghorn blast and some dude saying "This is your captain speaking".

Got an email in my old Hotmail account that purported to be from Microsoft. The title was "My Friend's Been Hacked!" and the email was loaded with javajunk that had been blocked by NoScript. I had a chuckle at what I thought was just the latest attempt at nonsense.

Turns out this is actually legit

Somehow that makes it even funnier.
