They probably won't prove that, as there is often no other local broadband ISP to switch to. Worse still, if one company does it, another company might be emboldened to do so, and it may slowly become a new industry standard. It's not like we can really get away with boycotting this kind of shit, either.

A senator from my home state, god damn it introduces a bill to bar the FCC from implementing its net neutrality policies.

EDIT: whoops. AMENDMENT to an existing bill that would prevent funding to allow the FCC to implement Net neutrality policies.

Didn't the FCC all but come out in favour of proper Net Neutrality recently?

The rulings are firm enough that it's affecting the CRTC's recent decisions (the Canadian FCC).

Which I fully support of course. Anything that further distances the GOP from the interests of any entity besides corporate ones is a step closer to a time when I won't have to listen to people bitch about them as if they were still relevant.

Well in the REST of the world, the Red party is usually the Liberal/Socialist party and Blue is used for Conservatives. You guys are just crazy.
