Keep it up and see if you get sued, then.

It's been 110 here in northern California all week.

That's bad enough. On top of it, for much of the past two or three weeks, the freaking state has been ON FIRE, so the air is almost always smoky and disgusting and irritates eyes.

I actually kind of miss the Middle East right now. At least there, the heat was a serious problem, so most of the buildings had excellent air conditioning, and they weren't 90-95 degrees like my house. ...At least I don't have to walk a quarter-mile to the bathroom here.

You're making the Middle East sound so attractive all of a sudden.  Then again, I guess I could always move back to Vegas if I wanted to live in a place where "no air-conditioner" rules could get a landlord sued.

As for the entire state of California spontaneously combusting, I've finally gotten to the point where I accept it as a regular summer experience and just let the motherfucker burn.

Jesus Christ. Thunderstorms used to be a rare occurence here, maybe two or three times a summer. Now we get one a week. At least. We had one this weekend, and tonight is the second day in a row we get one. So three this week. And it's not like one drawn out rainstorm with bouts of lightning. It's storm, sun for a while, storm, sun, and storm again. Ugh.

Logging out now. Bah.

Oh man, we so need a Vizzini emoticon.

Did I ever mention that the guy who plays him lives around here?  Every so often we catch him at the grocery store.  Neat dude.  Will happily shout the word if you ask him nicely.

I don't like being out in it, but I'm going to have to submit that the fact that it keeps raining is a good thing.

Look at the bright side: there's no way in hell the government will slack off in dealing with this one.

What's the worst that could happen?

(More information on the old May 3rd tornado blitzkrieg that I lived through.)

You see, the raw anger of Texans (also faith in god) has steered the tornado into Mexico to do border patrol work.
