Oh look, another tragically misused final boss theme.  It's kind of my thing.

Wild Arms 2 could use a remake.  They could fix the terrible translation and fuck yeah Knight Blazer battle music.

Unlimited SaGa had some damn nice battle music.  That violin work is great.
Not surprised that this is the same composer that did the FFXIII battle theme.

Speaking of Masashi Hamauzu...

Probably the best thing about the game: the music.

I just remembered: Koudelka's battle theme, Waterfall.

I really wish more turn-based RPGs did their battle themes like this.

Wild Arms 2 could use a remake.  They could fix the terrible translation and pretty much every fucking other thing about the game but the music.

Unlimited SaGa

Speaking of completely terrible games...

Probably the only tolerable thing about the game: the music.

This thread has been hijacked.  It's now about the extremely long list of games with good music which I otherwise completely hate.

I skipped all the fights on the Big Bridge in FFV by running along the side. I liked the theme so much that I ran back and did all the fights.

At least it isn't like Necro Fantasy where it's overshadowed by a remix of the song that appears later in the same game.  But yeah, it doesn't get nearly enough love.

Hey, you know what else has nice music?  Occidental video games!

Grand Cathedral always needs a mention when talking about Serious Sam music, since it's at once totally unexpected for the final level of that game and completely perfect.

Today is Skies of Arcadia day.

Skies of Arcadia is a traditional cliche-laden JRPG that decided to just do everything really competently so that you can forgive the cliches and just enjoy the game.

It worked, brilliantly.

If you havn't played it, what the hell, GameCubes are $30 NEW.

And if you owned a Dreamcast like me..  :jizz:

If you have or had the Dreamcast version like Doom and I, be ready for looooooooading times when you get into a fight.  And be ready to get into a lot of fights.
