I just watched the trailer of the Lufia 2 reimagining, and it seems very strange. The setting is so different, I wonder if anyone would notice the connection if they had changed the name of the game and characters.

It actually looks so very much like a Ys game that I honestly wonder if Squeenix lost some sort of publishing deal with Falcom halfway through development and were incredibly relieved to find another popular IP with a redheaded protagonist and titular floating continent.

My biggest concern is that they'll drop Tia or otherwise turn "Serena"/Selan into the exact generic RPG romance that Lufia 2 was so great for avoiding in the first place.

Hearing the Airship theme come up gave me chills. I will probably be buying this. My inner child will punch me in the kidneys if I don't, honestly.
