Probably not true but I find it believable - especially after reading that Ono interview. Capcom can't be a great place to work - and Japan's social/business practices aren't like the US where you say FUCK YOU I'M OUT and find a new job even if you're super qualified.

Yeah guys, MML is totally different. That was the story of a famous and well loved director / producer who had been trying to get a sequel to his pet project series for years, and after things started to finally look good for it he left and the series all but officially died.

That sounds nothing like this.
