Well, it takes me literally days to paint a mini, so I probably wouldn't do it unless it was a really small number of figures. :P

But if it was a very small number, I would probably be open to the idea.

I don't know if you're fast enough to have this replace your day job, but I think you could net (a good fraction of) minimum wage for your time if you did take commissions.

Well, Mage Knight figures were technically "Hand-Painted" (by Chinese near-slave labour) too.

My skill level is probably a "7" on the coolminiornot scale. Which is enough for low grade money once in a while. I.E. this is fun and I enjoy my own work, but this ain't gonna end in some uplifting live-your-dreams story. Not least of which because it sure as hell isn't a dream of mine to have a career painting minis (though obviously it would beat my current job if all else were equal).

Some new guys. These are three out of four brothers who were all promo figures. Out of the four, two had really crap stats. One of those was a free giveaway so I have him, but the other awful one was a super-hard-to-find rare promo, so I never bothered to complete the foursome. The other two (the mage and the archer with the brown cloak) are actually so-so-decent figures though.

That mage sculpt is a old Mordhiem figure sculpted by the Perry brothers (they usually do really nice historical minis, mostly beautiful Napoleonics), which is why he looks very un-GW-like even though it's of GW-issue. It's a great damn figure.

I know you're going to call me on being grinch-like, but I really don't see minis painting as being artistic, it's more like a really difficult colouring book. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy it*, just that I refuse to call it art in my case.

*Well, it's more the results I enjoy... the process itself is just a lot of squinting really hard and trying not to let my hands shake too much.

My sculpture teacher told me that art is basically problem-solving. It's a sentiment that I agree with.
