If you try to buy something from a Canadian IP address with a US debit card linked to a US bank account, Steam won't let you.  :loser:

Whoever designs these sales to kick people in the dick for buying games before they go on ULTRA SALE should go to hell.

That's one thing that bugs me about digital distribution.

At Radio Shack, I can buy a memory card on sale for 20 bux.  Tomorrow, when the sale on the same card goes down to 15 bux, I can take it back and get the difference back.

That's more of a store policy thing.

Advice: If there's a game you want, wait to see if it shows up during the daily sales.  Buy the ones that do, and then buy the remaining games on July 4th.  Enormous game packs probably won't get any cheaper, but component of said packs may also show up during the dailies.

I keep adding games to my cart then removing them thinking "I don't need this, I doubt I'll play it."

Then I add it again.

Multiplayer games: I bought Left 4 Dead 2 yesterday, and bought the original Left 4 Dead in the last Steam sale. I already own Multiwinia, and recommend you buy the entire Introversion games pack since at $5 for four games I don't see it getting any better value.

Today: The Civ4 pack is exceptional value. Civilization 4, Colonization, Civ4: Beyond the Sword and Civ4: Warlords, all for £6.24.

Any opinions on Flotilla and Dawn of War II?

Fffffffffffffffffuck I want DoW2 but I don't want to spend any money right now. I'll see if I cave in later, but damn. Fucking sales happening when money is tight.

DoWII is a game I want. And it's on sale. Unfortunately, Steam has conditioned me into NOT buying a game online until it's absolutely retarded not to do so.
Once that game drops to that line, it will be mine.

Colonization went under my radar when it came out, but it's phenomenally good - like Civilization, but with less combat and more infrastructure-building. I love it.

I haven't tried that new one, but the original Colonization, the one they released shortly after the first Civ came out, that was one of my favourite games by far when I was a kid.

20 bucks is a hell of a deal and I am sure that by the time the game gets to a lower price point the game will be just about dead.

I'm having fun with it. I forgot how much fun Red Faction games were until the opening tutorial mission had me demolish a couple of buildings. Fuck year.
