I too am a part of both communities, so I'd have to choose. But having never played TF2 I'd just be a burden to my team and thus a double-agent for the other team. I guess I'd play Spy just to complete things.

So, now that we have two armies regularly playing on the server, is there any way to be alerted, or just check the server status from Steam without actually launching TF2?

If the server is on your favorites list, you can see it directly from Steam. Click Servers, then right click Shadow Moses, then View Server info. Gives you a list of who's on the server/

There is also a Shadow Moses Steam group, which all of these bros should be invited. It is the responsibility of those playing on the server to sound the Horn of Urgency, though.
