Uh, no. Really wish people would stop being stupid and also stop saying that (these are mutually exclusive).

Kinda wish I could opt out after seeing it, though. Maybe it'll be useful later. I don't know.

It's more just Facebook, but built into the GMail framework so, hopefully, conversations can get started and it'll move beyond just five dudes saying the first thing that comes into the heads then CALLING IT A DAY.

It's also hooked up to Google Reader, so the stuff you share shows up on your feed. I mean I know Facebook does the same dang thing, but again, if I can post something and actually have a conversation with someone about it, that would be a step up from three folks saying "lol" and that being the end of it. Which is what happens to me on Facebook.

Alright well, I had it on private, I moved it to public. I guess if you're in private mode people can't add you?

Not a huge fan of how folks can automatically gain access to your shared items without you being any the wiser. There's folks I talk to on occasion but don't necessarily want to be a part of or monitor or comment on any of the stuff I put up. There should be a way to tweak visibility settings without alienating new people, like in Facebook.

That reminds me about Iran shutting down Gmail and announcing a free, government email system. Iranians are really paranoid about Google's privacy policy, I guess.
