Don’t Tell the Kids

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.

but what about the hassle of killing, skinning and butchering the rabbit? not to mention raising the little guys.

definitely more time and possible expense than dropping $3 on some chicken or a pound of beef.

Oh snap, I guess the cat (or in this, rabbit) is out of the bag now. I am such a huge cooked rabbit fan, you have no idea. Sometimes I get dressed up in rabbit meat and masturbate all night to Bugs Bunny.

I am so glad that I don't have to hide who I am anymore.

Oh well now that's just a bullshit comparison.  Buying rabbit meat versus buying chicken, same thing.  Might as well say that beef will never catch on because raising a cow is such a big process.

Original post mentioned raising the rabbits, dude.

Also show me a standard supermarket that stocks easy to find rabbit meat.

I clicked on this link expecting the following, in order of probability (knowing these boards):

1. porn
2. topical politics
3. comedy poll
4. guild trolling thad
5. another "take off you're clothes" thread
6. some kind of wolf game
7. a picture of kazz's ass
8. a picture of brentai's naked chest
9. some sort of tf2 related thread
10. some sort of wow related thread
11. a thread about cooking rabbits

So you see, I was sort of surprised.

Since we're no longer on topic, I recently watched that and found it to have a saving moment every ten minutes. Which incidentally was exactly how long each YouTube'd segment lasted.

I just can't bring myself to eat Rabbit.  It's too damn cute.

Other rodents, I could easily stomach, as long they were large enough, and pestilence-free.
No problem eating reptiles.
Huge problem eating arthropods (outside of when hidden in a delicious bisque) as they're just too goddamn creepy looking.  I'm not sure whether or not I want to declare that off all invertebrates, but I'm considering it.
Huge problem eating cats, dogs, and other things I find cute.
Huge problem eating anything that I saw living earlier that same day.

I don't have a problem eating rabbit or anything I've encountered so far (well, squirrel, not because of cuteness but because of weirdness).  But I would never be able to raise an animal and then eat it.  I get far too attached too easily.  I don't think I would ever be able to pick out a lobster and eat it, even.

Confirmed: Catloaf will wait 24 hours after murdering you before eating your corpse.

Ducks only grow where there is water. Rabbits grow anywhere there is dirt.
