Don't look at me, I'm still alternating between ancient copies of 6.0 and CS v1.

I guess I should get around to trying a new version at some point just to see what kind of helpful new widgets they have in the newer versions.

But then again, my tablet died a month ago and I haven't even replaced it yet, so...

That's a conservative estimate with Kayin.

Kayin once got so mad that he constructed an exquisite torture device to inflict on all his enemies.

Then he disguised it as a free game.

One sees why he has no mercy for the paid model.  What little mercy he has would be wasted on those who are but rank amateurs at creating pain.

Part of me wonders greatly how much Adobe would make by completely 180-ing their business model and trying to flog PS and the like for the absolute lowest price possible.

I mean, when you make the most pirated piece of software in the world that's probably an indication that it's possible that you could compete on volume.

But they're competing on volume with the price they charge NOW.

Speaking of pirating photoshop, since thepiratebay went under, I don't know where to look for it and I really would like to have it so I could potentially (make/edit previous) artwork.  And I have no money to even consider getting it legally.

.... :>_>:
You could also use GIMP.

Gimp is pretty okay. Sufficient for artwork. Photoshop beats its ass on a lot of subtle levels, but as a free product, it's incredibly robust. Lately for art though I've been using SAI ( http://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/ ), which is some wacky japanese program with great built in color blending and brushes and a better interpretation of tablet strokes over photoshop. SAI fails hard for general editing though, as it's very much aimed as an art product. It's like a very light weight combo of PS and Painter. I definitely give it a big recommendation for any who produces artwork with a tablet. It's 50 some bucks to buy, but you can snatch it pretty easily. Or just play with the demo.

I just mention this because artwork was mentioned and it's definitely changed how work on things.

In my case, it doesn't matter what my preference is.  As a web developer you're going to get a lot of PSDs.

So...

AVG has been eating all my keygens over the past few months, I do not enjoy that.

You could download Microsoft Security Essentials, which is not only free, but also better than AVG.

But if it's better that would only make the problem worse.

Explain please.

Also: I've tried GIMP. I found it to be overly... gimpy.
