I didn't even bother picking Superman up. Also, Hulk agents of Smash is the ugliest thing I have ever seen.

We didn't have The Tick :(

I didn't either (hell, I already bought it once!), but one of my cousins did.

Anyhow, for those who missed FCBD, Bleeding Cool has a list of freebies available at Comixology.  No Tick, sadly, but I thought Star Wars was pretty great and will probably post about that in a little while.

And speaking of today's excellent Astro City #1, 1995's excellent Astro City #1 is free on Comixology.

This thing is seriously one of my favorite single issues of anything ever.  If you've never read it, you owe it to yourself to rectify the situation.

You now have Steve Bissette's express written consent to freely redistribute the portions of 1963 which he owns, so long as you attach his copyright and trademark notice to them.

That covers The Fury, Hypernaut, and N-Man, but NOT Mystery Incorporated, USA, Johnny Beyond, Horus, or the Tomorrow Syndicate.  In other words, the entirety of issue #2 and half each of #3 and #4.

He's still planning a relaunch with his 1963 characters, though he doesn't own the "1963" name or metafiction and will instead be publishing them under the banner "Naut Comics".

Anyhow, 1963 is flippin' great.  It's well worth checking out the old stuff, and I look forward to the new stuff even without Moore and Veitch involved.
