Seems like the kind of thing Constantine would have started.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

Yes TA because that is a general music thread.

It is certainly not a thread for specific posts of particular songs with a certain reason.

Ok, here's a short list of songs I'm listening to this year/month, and NOT because they are stuck in my head, but because I think they are all good tracks.

Cage the Elephant - Shake Me Down
Cake - Never There
Decemberists - Sixteen Military Wives
Boyz 2 Men - Yesterday
N'Sync - Tearin' Up My Heart
Uncle Kracker - Drift Away
Alan Jackson (or Randy Travis, if you want variety) - How Great Thou Art
Bill Withers - Use Me
Nine Inch Nails - Only
Butthole Surfers - Pepper
Cracker - Low
Lady Gaga - Papparazzi

Edit: I wonder if Randy Jackson ever did How Great Thou Art?

I'm pretty sure B2M's Yesterday is the only piece of music I like that I've ever got my father to agree that it was any good.

Dammit Ryg you gotta LAY DOWN THE GROUND RULES if you're not just going to use my PERFECTLY GOOD and FEATURE RICH existing thread.

Folks are going to be posting names of things all willy-nilly like the lord ain't looking and we'll have a shitshow on our hands.

ALSO: We should post youtubes of the songs if possible sos we can listen to what we haven't heard just yet

ALSO: The default thread title sucks a west-texan shlong straight up

Clue's is better but not amazing but still good enough I suppose

I just figured the "Songs in your head" thread had been tasked for double-duty by practically everybody.

No objections to a dedicated thread though.

I basically want to get away from that to promote multi-song posts if applicable, or even just a band or album if no particular song particularly wets your whistle but you think it's worth getting the word out about 'em. Plus (even though I haven't seen it in a while) avoiding the "lawl you like that song? Loser" scenarios just because some shitty songs have addictive beats.

Also because since getting off Facebook my chances of discovering new music have dwindled considerably.

Anyway, a while back I was looking for a spot to download one of the albums of Trouble Over Tokyo.

Skip forward a few years of having given up and someone finally went and uploaded the better of his first two.

Admittedly I like high pitched male vocals more than the average bear, but if nothing else off Pyramids is worth hearing to you The Liar definitely has potential to show up in, you know... that other thread.

Speaking of awesome songs, Rox in The Box is the only Decemberists song I can really get into.... BUUUUT GOD DAMN that song is fucking amazing. Like, I can see what all the fuss is about in that one song, its just that I don't care for any of their other music much D:

I just discovered Motorhead, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax (and a bunch of smaller bands) will be playing a giant metal festival in Toronto on Saturday.

Too bad tickets are $100+  >:(

Is that Powerman 5000? I thought it was Billy Idol and the Daft Punks.

The Birthday Massacre's Pins and Needles is a much, much better album now that I haven't listened to them in a while. It's very different from their old stuff, but you don't really notice it if you don't have their old stuff in your head at the time.
