Yeah, if you notice, the closest dude to the gate will run out as soon as he notices that the door is open. I have no fucking clue how to prevent him from closing it aside from killing him whenever you open it. Whenever I come back the thing is usually closed anyways.

I like this axe I cut off of the gargoyle. Is this Monster Hunter suddenly? Anyway, Whips + Axes = A+ would kill again

"Oh, thank god, the armored boar didn't respawn... YOU DID NOT JUST CLOSE MY SHORTCUT YOU FUCKING CUNTS"

There really has been some magnificent trolling this time around, hasn't there?  I especially liked the early parts where
I would be on a ledge far up from some huge-ass enemy and think to myself for a split-second, "oh, I beat I can range this guy safely from up from up h--WHAT THE HELL?!"
Granted, they did sort of pull that same trick a few times in Demon's Souls, just not nearly as effectively.

Oh, and they made this dragon even more of a pain in the ass than the one in Demon's Souls (apparently it's still glitchy as fuck though).

The difference being that if you're manly enough you can fight him on the ground.  No sure how you survive the jump up and breath straight down maneuver, though.

or you can just buy a shitload of wooden arrows and go to town.

Fuck this. Fuck this.

There is something in these sewers behaving like SCP-173. I'm done with this.

Upon Further investigation, I found out what it really is:

There's an enemy that curses you in the sewers. When cursed, you explode into black spikes and are turned into a statue. You're dead instantly (it ignores any amount of HP or defenses. Curses do that. You're also at half HP when you respawn, are unable to regain humanity, and must use a 6k soul item to remove it.) When a player dies like this, it probably places that statue in everyone else's world. I just never saw mine pop in (I finally did).

In which case: Holy shit, this place is a death pit. There are these statues everywhere.

Tomorrow I tackle Blighttown.

I just threw in my lot with Papa Nito (he gave me a kickass sword and a nifty miracle in thanks!)

Because I am a dick sometimes, I placed a eye of death right in the worst part of that basilisk pack.   :whoops:

Did You Know:  Curse stacks?

You see, I was lucky. When I fell into the basilisk pit, I killed them all and I didn't get cursed. The whole experience was scary as all hell though. While exploring the place a second time I accidentally fell in again and you better believe I warped right the hell out.

So I just found the Gaping Dragon. Bit of a shock. Killed it on the first try though, even though my drake blade broke half way through.

A bunch on scrawl said "weakness: tail", but I think what they meant was "stay the fuck behind it" which I could have figured out on my own.

You can actually break the tail and get a cool axe from it. So yeah, this really is Monster Hunter now. Oh, and don't forget the wonky as hell hitbox when he starts charging. That killed me about 10 times, because it is instant death and the asshole is MOVING AWAY FROM MY HOW AM I GETTING HIT SO HARD THAT I DIE FROM SOMETHING THAT IS NOT HITTING ME JESUS CHRIST.

Out of all of the times it took me to kill that mother fucker, I think only two deaths were legitimate. One I got eaten by him, and the other time I got tail whipped. But the other times? I got hit by the breeze he made running away from me.

I got him the second time. And that's only because the first time I didn't kill that sorcerer on the ledge above and his soul arrow was fucking me over the first attempt. At this point I think I'm overleveling some things.

I survived by not locking on most of the time, and only engaging when he made his slam/charge move. I got hit once by that shit Smiler was talking about, but I'm a knight, so I can take a hit pretty well.

I did like 90% of the damage I did to the guy to what I assumed was the based of his tail, but maybe it only counted as his ass. Personally, I'm just glad it's dead.

Sen's Fortress reminds me of King's Field II.

Which is to say EVERYTHING is trying to kill me, and I ain't talking about the mobs.

That 20,000 souls you spend on the forest Key?

That's your PVP key. Going in there fights a ton of NPC characters as well as near constant invasions
