My game is almost at the v1.0 mark. Now I just need levels. I added a level editor in the zip. you guys can play, and test out the levels you make, then share them.

Shit. i was busy (and still am), and lost both the file and the thread.

Trying it again. How is it going? New version?

a few things:
The game is not very fun 'cause death, when imminent is certain. You should provide a jetpack button (up) of some sort that would immediately make the character move up a bit, allowing you to dodge imminent death. This button should of course have limited uses with a recharge on coins mechanism, and/or a timer limiting its use to a certain maximum period.

Second, the danger things are a neat idea. Although i think the reason you need so many of them is because you chose the wrong color. The spikes are yellow and teh danger sign oscillates between red and yellow. That makes them pretty hard to tell apart. I think if you chose the right color/patter for the danger signs, you wouldnt need so many of them, and maybe you could put them farther away from the actual spikes. You should still limit the overall character + background + objects scheme to 4 main luminance values, so chose carefully.

As for me making a level.. right now it seems whatever i could come up, a random generator engine could do equally. Ill look at the level editor for an idea, but if i dont get any interesting idea, i wont do it.
