So I had an idea for a wolfgame.
Players needed: 20+
Basic Summary: It's wolfgame, within a wolfgame.
http://inception.davepedu.com/ sup dog i heard you like wolf so I etc.
How it works: Lets say I get, oh, 25 players. 12 of them will be wolves. 13 will be innocent. However, of the 12 wolves, 3 of them will secretly be
Dreamwolves, whose goal it is to kill the regular wolves. They will operate like a normal wolfteam, with their own nightphase, nightkill, and teamchat. To the wolves, they will appear as regular wolves. Innocents will not know anything more than they usually know (just their own role.)
Victory ConditionsInnocents: All wolves and dreamwolves are dead.
Wolves: All dreamwolves are dead, and they outnumber or tie the remaining innocents.
Dreamwolves: All wolves are dead.
The SpecificsInnocent Roles:
Seer: Works as normal. Scries one player each night, reveals all information.
Wolfsbaner: Protects one player from ANY wolf attack, including regular and dream variety. If protecting himself and targeted, permanently loses his powers.
Vigilante: Can nightkill, once per game.
Clawproof: Will survive one kill attempt, once per game. Lynch always kills.
Regular Wolf Roles:
Devil: Seer for the wolves. May use his powers to look for innocent powered roles, or turn his eye on his own team to search for the dreamwolves.
Dreambaner: Wolfsbaner for the wolves. Protects one of his own from dreamwolf attacks each night. If protecting himself and targeted, permanently loses his powers.
Dreamwolf Roles:
None. As the most informed team, they do not need any powers.
Strategy/Gameplay:Note the victory conditions: The dreamwolves win
immediately upon all regular wolves being dead, even if there are 10 innocents remaining and only 1 dreamwolf. What this means for the innocents is: While they have to kill every type of wolf to win, they must kill all the dreamwolves
first, or else lose instantly. Since the wolves also hate the dreamwolves, this may give rise to uneasy temporary alliances.
FAQQ: So the dreamwolves also get a nightkill?
A: Yes. Since their victory condition is to kill all the regular wolves, they will of course be targeting them. They CAN target innocents if they think that will help them more, however.
Q: So each night, the wolves kill an innocent and the dreamwolves kill a wolf?
A: Well, yes and no. The wolves can kill their own team if they suspect/know that member to be a dreamwolf, or manipulate the lynch to target themselves, or whatever.
Q: How many of each role is there?
A: Depends on how many players I get. I will let you know the exact numbers at game start.
Q: What's to stop the Dreambaner or the Devil from roleclaiming (in private to his team) to prove he isn't a dreamwolf?
A: What's to stop the Seer from claiming in public to prove he isn't a wolf?
Q: If the wolfsbaner protects a wolf, and the dreamwolves attack that player, does he survive?
A: Yes. The wolfsbaner protects from ALL wolf attacks. The Dreambaner, however, ONLY protects vs dreamwolves. Regular wolf attacks go right through it.
