So after weeks of listening to the same Pandora station at work, I'd settled on a list of songs I liked enough to play repeatedly in my car for the next six months, and I thought I'd do the noble thing and actually buy the music so that the performers would actually profit from my interest. What a rube move, particularly since I tried to do it through iTunes: after
1. opening iTunes,
2. logging Julie out of the iTunes Store,
3. closing iTunes,
4. shift+clicking to launch iTunes into my library, and
5. logging myself into the iTunes Store,
I didn't remember (and Apple neglected to remind me) that you can only associate a single Apple ID with a particular device concurrently, and that I wouldn't be able to download any of the ~20 tracks that I purchased to my computer for five days, at which point Julie would no longer be able to download any music that she purchases! And she's the one that actually listens to and buys music!
I'm just sitting here grinding my teeth about this; I shouldn't really have spent this money in the first place, and now that I have, I can't even access the stuff I bought without inconveniencing the both of us, and I just spent far too long submitting a support request to ask for a refund and then fuming impotently for an hour. Why am I so torn up about this. Why am I not going to be able to sleep tonight over such a fucking minor issue. What the hell.
