Are you getting fewer sudden insights in chess and fewer hard earned lessons from sparring? I only get one a pop for "winning" (i.e. inviting) a match.

I'll keep an eye out for it.

I've been trapped in a carnival of nightmares for the past few days, which resulted in the destruction of all my homes. Mr. Eaten isn't playing around.

I don't want to name names (you know who you are) but these unabated acts of generosity are going to have to stop or at least slow down until I get some more reciprocal opportunity cards.

I really hope this plant of mine does something cool soon; I'm getting tired of feeding it rats and candles.

I'm constantly dancing on the razor's edge of madness. More worrisome, I intend to become even madder. You see, I need 77 knife and candle tokens. This means I need 69 more net victories. Every time I win, I gain a token. Every time I lose, I lose a token.

Every few days, those enrolled in Knife and Candle gain three tokens, to a maximum of nine. Others can be gained by stabbing other players. This is part of Seeking Mr. Eaten. He will not escape! Not when I have given so much!

I'd be happy to trade favors (first city coins, menace reduction, tasteful gifts) for willing combat victims. It may take a little while for me to even out my Nightmares though.

In other news, the Forgotten Quarter has been overhauled. I don't know how deep it goes yet, but it's worthy of further investigation.

So has anyone else managed to unlock the Tournament of Lilies yet?

I'm dithering over whether or not I want in on the Dilmun club and trying to follow the tale of the fidgeting author to it's conclusion.

Nope. I gave up on it. For all my other sins, raising a carnivorous plant isn't one of them.

Is it interesting?

The Dilmun club seems like a valuable set of people to know. The Fidgeting Writer is expensive, and entirely luck-based. There are some creepy moments, but unless you're lucky, it will take a lot of turns.

The Tournament of Lilies requires you to know other people who are also in the Tournament of Lilies.

So I have no idea if it's interesting.

Annoying Jack-of-Smiles is probably not the wisest thing to be doing, but it is amusing.

Oh, speaking of which, I have a dreams opportunity which can either raise Seeing Through the Eyes of Icarus or At the Gates of the Garden for myself and an accomplice.

I have Seeing Through the Eyes of Icarus 17, and I've moved on to the Dilmun Club part of the Gates of the Garden storyline. Not 100% certain, but I think I'm good on both.

Have you met the albino rat and heard her deal yet? That's where I'm at in the Eyes of Icarus story.

Also apparently I need to grind up all of my attributes to within spitting distance of 100 to proceed with that gates storyline...

So yeah.

I have not met the albino rat! Maybe there's some other requirement I'm not meeting.

Meeting the albino rat takes about 15 ranks of Icarus Eyes. After completing a challenge that eats something like a dozen ranks.
