I imagine with 2.1 dropping soon there will be some kind of sale / deal / something going around that should sync up pretty well with my new job and expendable income, so if anyone catches wind of one, keep the thread updated.

I can only watch so many failed Titan run videos before wanting to steal someone's controller and show them it's not that hard. Maybe I'll actually get into a final fantasy online when there isn't Tetra Master to distract me.

if ffxi's crafting is the best thing about the game, then you really do hate yourself

well it's less an issue of the best part of actually playing the oh forget it
so it's a NIMBY thing where ffxi crafting is super cool as long as you don't have to deal with it yourself

Kind of disappointed in the halloween questline but at least the towns are dressed up right spooky.

I generally hate seasonal obligations in MMOs, but enjoy the decor. So this is basically perfect.

Konschtat Highlands wind turbines

srsly I want to say they made crafting boring and unpredictable to keep enough people out of it to ensure it would always be in demand and largely a worthwhile investment, but that's probably giving them too much credit

I wish I had the stamina is grind Tomestones. Really looking forward to 2.1 to break up the monotony.

I wish they'd give tomestone for more dungeons. Amdapour Keep gets old... to say nothing of Castrum. I'm also convinced Ifrit doesn't drop any sort of spear.

Love the game, but definitely starting to feel a need for more content.

I got my Cane on the third Ifrit clear, which was on the same day I hit 50. Currently I'm up to the Hydra fight on Relic, but I'm stalling a bit because I need more gear for everything after that.

EDIT: Also, three new dungeons are being added to 2.1, and some bonus stones for doing random dungeons in a few different categories

okay i gave in  :(

leveling's pretty breezy so far, which i realize is just a precursor to leveling secondary/tertiary classes without quest support

It's actually faster if you don't mind fates. Any class of a lower level than your highest level class gets a 50% exp bonus to everything except quest exp, which makes leveling an alternate class ludicrously fast if you feel like it.

EDIT: also are you and Balmung and if so what is your name, because I will totally demolish dungeons with you when they come up in the story.

yuzz; Scaevola Aremti

This is playing out a lot like Old Republic, actually; whoever said this was The Syncretic MMO wasn't kidding.

Damn you bastards, stop making me want to get real Internet and roll a carbon copy of Bal's character. I know this will end up like the three times Paco tricked me into trying 11.

I'm getting more into it. Working on becoming a dragoon now. It's a pretty fun game - and I'm skipping ALLLLL the sidquests!

update: Jump is not really interesting.

I actually gave up on it. I couldn't get into the combat GCD being so slow and the overall combat feeling so disconnected. 2.5 GCD + Abilites that take a full second and a half to animate (and the damage is done only after the ability finishes) makes me get bored/frustrated with combat very quickly.

Finally took down Titan for my relic last night. Looking good, feeling good

EDIT: I also manage to grab this shot of Titan using his ultimate attack, Earthen Fury
