I moved. I told Lyrai. Maybe Lyrai told Santa.

I'll have a box full of post-move funtimes out sometime next week.

Santa has been informed and acknowledged that the package will be sent to the new address.

Two packages out.

I only ended up sending about half of what I intended to when I limited myself to the large flat shipping boxes. If mine seem light compared to the rest of the crowd my matches may be getting valentine's follow-ups or something.

Also confirmation of my package arriving at my Christmas destination. Though my mom is a bit freaked out by the 'warning: contains ethel alcohol' markings.

I didn't send much on mine either because I have no attic and int'l shipping costs are a pain. Which ashames me since I just received Mothra's package and it's a lunker. Photos forthcoming.

Yeah I probably should've sent like, half of that, but I forgot about international shipping until I was at the post office, at which point the Christmas spirit flooded through my veins like a freshly-cooked batch of krokodil.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

And yet you could fit two of my package in a shoebox.

I might have to sit out next year because for the past few years my package has been gradually shrinking and it's making me self-conscious.

I could mail you a box of junk stuff comic books, Brentai. Then you'd have years of presents!

Also: package sent. There are no dinosaurs on the outside, but it should be obvious what it's about.

Sent mine yesterday. If it doesn't arrive in time, I'm sorry for ruining Christmas. :;_;:

I'm going to be off between 24 and 31, so I'm torn between doing the unwrapping now or in January.

Well all right.

Goodness me, an incredibly heavy package from foreign lands. What could it be?

It's an incredible CULTURAL CORNUCOPIA carefully tiled into a package that's what it is.

The note appears to be some sort of FAN FICTION that details the inner life of this "Mothra" person and their dreams for the distant future where comic superstars VENOM and AGENT X are but a distant memory.

 :nyoro~n:

The full load of swag. It includes:

  • A large swatch of comics which includes issues of VENOM, both from its original 93-98 run by LARRY HAMA and the current run where he is an army dude or something;
  • AGENT X and the full set of VILLAINS UNITED, both by the great Gail Simone;
  • Assorted VERTIGO and ADVENTURE TIME issues, clearly sourced and assembled into a collection by some sort of madman... or genius;
  • MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC #11, which according to the preview on the internet, reveals the secret history of SHINING ARMOR and PRINCESS CADENCE’s love! "Before they were royalty, they were two teenagers who had no idea how to talk to each other! Find out how the romance started right here!" I have no idea who either of these characters are, but that won't keep me from NEVER OPENING this damn thing ever.
  • Assorted paperbacks for CONAN, PREACHER and the first book of SANDMAN, that one that combines Neil Gaiman's brilliant writing with SOME KIND OF SIX-YEAR-OLD as colorizer.
  • ENDER'S GAME, the only Orson Scott Card book worth reading.
  • THE POSTMORTAL, which I expressed interest at reading at some point and now have the chance to FOR NO MONETARY EFFORT OF MY PART.
  • The first three chapters of LONE WOLF AND CUB, one of the few manga you can actually read in public without being arrested.
  • Three movies: 3:10 TO YUMA, which I believe is about famous Australian RUSSELL CROWE and famous Batman CHRISTIAN BALE secretly loving each other in the RUGGED COUNTRYSIDE;
  • Mystery Science Theater 3000 comments on MITCHELL: "A sleazy, incompetent detective tries to simultaneously take down heroin dealers and a socialite who murdered a burglar." Sounds like the LAST SEASON OF MONK if you ask me.
  • ASSASSIN'S CREED: LINEAGE, which is a TV mini-series prequel to Assassin's Creed 2. At a score of 7.1, this might be the BEST VIDEOGAME TIE-IN MOVIE OF ALL TIME. No doubt its well-advertised 90 MINUTE LENGTH has played into it.
  • A CD containing a panoply of data I have only begun to decode. Music, stories, videos, this is an entire TIME CAPSULE of the decade of 90s and also 00s.

Now, any of these items could provide hours of entertainment, but they do not compare to the STAR TREK MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCE also included:

That's right, a book, a comic AND a MANGA (japanese comic). I plan to read the three at the same time so as to fully immerse myself in the STAR TREK EXPERIENCE.

i have NO IDEA who this is. it is telling me that i must share no more secrets. i must go now.

Yup! Both it and the Savage Sword of Conan are from Buge, a year or so back. Both are amazing.

It really is one of the best books I've read in the last few years. I'm sad Mothra gave it away and didn't keep it to read whenever he feels down
