Glad you liked it all. I went to the local flea market and found a stall inside that had cleaned out the last of a local comic book shop's stash. It was all like that, crazy late 90s comics and such, so I went through, picked out the best, and shipped out the rest in my packages. That Sandman graphic novel is awesome - I was loathe to send it, but in the spirit of Dirty Santa I decided more people should enjoy it.

It's here! My BrentaiBox is here!

(guest starring Elwood and Jake)

This was the only photo my camera could take before the batteries ran out. There were no other AAs in the house.

Oh wait, I have a camera in my 3DS! Get ready for blurry, low-res pics, kids!

Here's the letter. Brentai poured his heart and soul into his writing. It was so beautiful it made me weep. I wish I could show it to you, but then everyone would be too overcome with emotion to go on.

Uh-oh, Elwood saw a box being opened.

Swanky headphones!

Oooh a sexy watch! I hope it's the kind from Goldeneye.

Elwood, get out of there.

Luckily Brentai foresaw my feline finagle, and included a fuzzy red thing to delight and confuse the cats.

DS games! My library expands!

Three different kinds of anime: Overwrought with angst, actually good, and MAXIMUM MOE

An astronaut pen! No doubt pried from Buzz Aldrin's cold, dead hands.

Sexy(?) games(?) I wish I could play(?).

At least they came in a nice cat-sized box.

But wait! I forgot about the back of the letter!

I actually HAVE that watch, but like hell I'm trying to get that over the border.

EDIT: In retrospect you probably meant the laser watch and not the Omega Seamaster.

Why didn't you just ask Starr to borrow our camera?

Because I would somehow burn out the flash or break open the battery case or drop it into a canister of liquid nitrogen or something.

or drop it into a canister of liquid nitrogen or something.

Man, I really ought to put those away. Or at least cover them with a lid or something.

Well, at least I wrapped up the exposed uranium pile with some foil.

I'm forced to assume Ted and Royal are too busy having amazing adventures with my packages, and that is why they've yet to post anything.

OMFG PICTURES

1. A map of Paragon City!
2. Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time: Electric Boogaloo Explorer's Guide!
3. A TMNT book! Can the Turtles discover the secret of the DarkMagic Crystal, and rescue the babyprobably April from The Evil David BowieShredder?
4. Megatokyo vols 1 and 2. This looks like some high-quality reading!
5. Paramilitary playing cards!
6. A weirdly off-model Momo!
7. A Dragon Quest Monsters screen cleaner! Be sure to keep your monsters' screens clean, kids.

1. The same DQM screen cleaner! I uhhh forgot I already took a picture of it.
2. A magnifying glass! Perfect for any :mystery:s I might encounter.
3. A literal pile of little rubber guys! Translucent ninjas, combat-ready skeletons, and a bunch of knockoff Street Fighters!
4. A pixel Simon Belmont! I used to have one of these guys, but he fell off my tv and his legs broke off. :(
5. A PlayStation Underground disc, featuring demos of the hottest games from 1996!
6. A Big Willy bobblehead!
7. Blade Dancer and Disgaea soundtracks!

Genesis games! Tiny Toon Adventures, Aladdin, Sonic & Knuckles, and a MYSTERY GAME???

Mystery Ghost says: It's a mystery!

Good thing I have my handy-dandy magnifying glass!

:mystery:

Is this a good thing? I don't know!

More video game stuff! Did you guys know they're making a Guitar Hero 2? It looks pretty good!

More stuff! Magazines! A Warren Ellis comic! Final Fantasy IX art book! Rikku's sphere grid poster! There's something odd about that picture, though...

Here's a better quality version. See if you figure it out!
Rikku has no canine teeth. Maybe it's an Al Bhed thing?
The package from my family arrived!

Inside was:

Homemade chocolates! (almonds and marshmallows)
More homemade chocolates! (box of creams, truffles, et cetera)
Satsumas from the tree out back!
Homemade pomegranate jelly!
A homemade pot holder!
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, rescued from my old room! - CORRECTION: Portrait of Ruin is missing from the game case. No idea where it could be. I did get Circle of the Moon and FFIV Advance as a bonus. How useful now Idon't have anything that can play GBA games.
A knife!
A knife sharpener!
A family calendar!

Aww, it's great. I need to get some bread so I can put this pomegranate jelly on something.

Further updates when my Dirty Santa package gets here!

Good evening, friends!

My Santa duties have gone somewhat neglected because, while I thought I'd assembled a worthy selection of gifts for my chaps, the remarkable contents of the two packages I received combined with the startling revelations contained within this thread made me begin to second-guess myself. I wound up scouring my residence for overlooked treasures, as well as the homes of a few overburdened friends. Tomorrow, I mail two packages to two neglected little brontoforumites, and then I shall post the great unveiling of the gifts which I have received from Zaratustra and someone who did a very good job of concealing their identity, as I couldn't find a note or name in the second package. So: thanks again, I'm sorry, and let's look forward to a happy Christmas post-script!

I was going to convert a Squishable narwhal into a theremin for my girlfriend as a late Christmas present. Then the narwhal arrived and it was too cute. Now I'm racking my brain for other objects that could use a bionic theremin.

Would you look at that! It's a package from Zaratustra!

I wonder what's inside?

It's a video card! Just what I always wanted!

I completely forgot that my "what would I like to receive" text included a line about maybe drawing a picture of an otter.

Dang, this box is packed.

Pop Rox, a lego figurine of a welder/Pyro, and some beagles puss, minus the mustache.

The Rapture of the Nerds and How To Live Safely In A Science Fictional Universe! Note the Halloween pumpkins stuck to them.

The box was completely full of 'em.

Issues of "Private Eye" and "Fantasy Chronicles"!

In addition to what I've already mentioned, the box contained a bunch of cards for a card-based version of D&D and a sliding labyrinth puzzle that looked a lot easier than it actually is; I've spent a lot of time banging my head against different puzzles on this thing!

I forgot to mention, there's a little wooden pyramid puzzle. Overall, this was quite the haul! Thanks, man!
