I don't think I actually played a game that came out this year.

Yeah, I'm scratching my head trying to think of one.  I mean, I played a fuck of a lot of new-to-me games (Walking Dead, Dead Rising, Red Dead Redemption, probably a few without "Dead" in their titles) but I think the only one I played that actually came out in 2013 is DuckTales, which is a remake of a game that came out in 1990.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons gets the Feels Award

Metro: Last Light gets the I Still Want S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 But You're Still Great award.

The best game I played this year was Telltale's Walking Dead. Ordered episodes from favorite to least favorite would be 4-5-3-2-1-DLC.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn gets the You Can Polish a Turd Award (and all of my time)

Yeeeeeeep. If game of the year went by hours played, then there you go.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Is probably my personal GotY. A little on the easy side, but it hits all the right notes in ways I never thought it could. Also, the music is amazing.

The Last of Us is definitely the best game that's no fun to play, followed closely by Bioshock Infinite. At least I could actually get through Infinite.

Super Mario 3D World is the most fun I've had multiplayer. Until the star world! Then get off my screen.

Shadowrun Returns has my vote for RPG that I played of the year that I started playing after the year ended. Specifically the Nightmare Harvest user-generated campaign.
