Excelsior!
24 (and hopefully later 21) can burn in hellfire for all I care. Their meta humor always broke the fourth wall far too often, and the "nyah nyah we don't die" shtick wore itself out episodes ago.
Tim-Tom & Kevin
detonated the bomb
, no question. Bless'em.

The second season finale was superior, but the diabolical twist to the season three finale makes for a better cliffhanger.

I don't have any clue why they thought it was a good idea to
let the clones out.
But frankly I'm kind of glad they did.
That aspect of the V-Bros always sort of weirded me out.
So having rewatched a chunk of the end of the season with friends, before the finale ... there's a couple things I just don't understand.

How'd
Dr. Venture get "ORB" from "221210"
?  And
why'd Brock's car try to kill him
?

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

How'd
Dr. Venture get "ORB" from "221210"
?

The word ORB is made up of the 22nd, 12th, and 10th letters of "In Minuit's bargain sits house that coke built. In a loud room of quiet whistlers behind the Wilde gray gentleman sits the 221210."

And
why'd Brock's car try to kill him
?

My guess is that he mistakenly entered a "terminate agent" command when he accessed his own file and searched for another bit of information using the key word "termination."

On second thought,
the car probably went after Brock due to tampering by Molotov Cocktease or Col. Gathers to get him to think the O.S.I. wanted him dead and sent the three assassins after him, when they were actually hired by Molotov in order to get them killed and make her Blackhearts the number one assassination squad.
Righto!  All caught up.  Season 2 is probably my favorite, but 3 was damn fine too.

That episode is why Venture Brothers is so great. Those guys could write a top notch serious action/adventure show, and they leverage that to make up the backbone of a top notch comedy. I wonder what they'll do after Venture Brothers.

This.  ORB was possibly the smartest episode of the series to date (though not the funniest); they've gone and managed to create a really compelling element of mystery to the backstory, and have been slowly teasing it out since -- well, since the second episode, really, but Past Tense was where they really cranked it up.  And of course season 3 gave us not only ORB, but also the previously-teased origin of Billy Quizboy and Phantom Limb.  I expect we'll finally get the explanation on why the Monarch hates Dr. Venture next season.

(Speaking of Phantom Limb: no body = not dead.  Yeah, he got some bits blown off him, but I don't remember seeing a corpse.  Correct me if I'm wrong.)

ORB had some really fun steampunk/clockpunk stuff going on, teased the origins of both OSI and the League, and gave us an outline for how and why Jonas Venture died.  The ending also made for a brief but quite complex examination of Rusty and Brock as characters.

(FROM THIS POINT ON THERE WILL BE UNTAGGED SPOILERS.  Because the finale aired a month ago.)

Doc, for all that he's a self-centered egomaniac, shows prudence and restraint, and utters about the nicest thing he's ever said about his father.  Brock, meanwhile, shows how dedicated he is to the mission, that he'd kill Rusty without hesitation if it came down to it.  (The question is, why?  Honor?  Saving the world?  It's certainly not out of loyalty to OSI.)

I quite liked part 1 of the finale but thought part 2 was a little flaccid.  The twist ending that OSI had had Brock's back all along was weak, though 24's death and Brock's departure were pretty good and bode for an interesting next season.

Which is another great thing about the show -- while it maintains a certain status quo, relationships change and evolve -- the Monarch's relationships with both Dr. Girlfriend/Dr. Mrs. The Monarch and Dr. Venture are the chief examples.  If I had to guess, I'd say Brock won't be back at the Venture Compound by the end of the next premier, and Doc's going to have to find a new bodyguard for the time being.

Also: they totally stole Mr. Clean as a superhero from Brad.

He made an appearance at the end of the first episode of season 3 (Shadowman 9: etc etc), where he killed the real Man-o-taur.

Yes, but IIRC the timing wasn't certain.  Could have been another flashback.

He was wearing a trench coat, his hair was mussed, he was unshaven. The only reason he'd look like that is if he was running from the Guild.

All right, then I misremembered.  Confirmed still alive, then, but absent for the rest of the season (except in flashback).

Stuff earlier about a milk carton and kidnapped henchmen back on Page 1.

So I just got around to watching the extras on DVD set 2.
One of the deleted scenes has the two henchmen talking on the phone right before the Monarch calls them, talking about readjusting to their lives.
#21 mentions that he convinced his mother that he was alive but "She kept the milk carton anyway"

Just been informed of happenings in Season Cuatro by one of the principle cast members.

Swearing upon Baby Jesus, I can only reveal that some form of events will occur!

"Cuatro" is Spanish; "quatro" is Portuguese.  I assume the other Latinate languages use variations on the same.
