Didn't you know Thad? He recanted heliocentrism on his deathbed, so it's not true

On the one hand, yay no Lieberman.  On the other, it's kind of sad because I wanted to seem him lose so bad in 2012.

Yeah, and this way the media's going to spin it as "He is a beloved moderate and Democrats were so so mean to him" instead of "He is retiring because everybody fucking hates him and he has no shot at reelection."

Lieberman falls over dead, false skin bursts open, writhing horde of pestilential insects scurries forth into the dark places of the world

Source?

Some are saying that he's still going to be working with FNC to develop content, while others are saying he's outright departing.

It says nothing about his radio show, which can be heard on Sirius/XM radio on Sirius XM Patriot, the conservative talk radio station, in the mornings.  I'm sure that's sticking around, if nothing's being said about it.

Every major news outlet, crowing about it.

Saw that. I think the funniest part is that one of the main reasons is he was canned is that no sponsors would place ads with him, in spite of what were at one point frighteningly high ratings.

Yeah, pretty much; I figured there wasn't much point in going with a single source since it's everywhere.

NPR suggested it was really the trifecta -- controversy, sponsor boycotts, AND a precipitous ratings drop.  One or two of those might not have sunk him (in fact the first one is kinda the whole point of Fox News), but he had all three.

Not that any of us expect him to stop stirring up trouble, of course.

but thad, npr is the mouthpiece of the elitist sociliast commie pinko agenda!

Really, though, at one point Fox dropped below CNN in the ratings (I don't know if this is still the case) and Fox had to have realized the jig was up and must be trying to pare down the crazy. Going after white middle-class blue collar workers like they have in the last few months was kind of dumb, considerig, you know, that that's their entire fucking viewing demographic. Having a one hour show about a guy who thinks the 1 dollar bill predicted 9/11 isn't exactly helping their image.

It's the twenty.  But yeah, the conspiracy theory stuff is unsustainable.  Glenn realized people were watching his show for crazy blackboard conspiracy hour, but he kept upping the ante until it got to the point where Bill O'Reilly was pretty much openly criticizing him on-air.  BILL O'REILLY was asking him what the basis for his claims was.
