I think a good compromise would  be including a quicksave feature along with liberally sprinkled save points or autosaves, but again, it's something I feel comes down to artifical challenge.

That's sort of how Morrowind did it. You could manually save anywhere, but there was also a quicksave feature and whenever you slept, it would autosave.

Of course, the escort missions were annoying. The moment you attacked something, your escortee would join in, which mostly consisted of them getting in the way/dying.

Except maybe to request another one of them kissing.

I could help you with that. But what is Derby from the Deep, exactly?

There are two exhibits opening tomorrow at my local Gallery: The first one is called Hatchery. I think it's about the hypocrisy of the amount of natural resources vs. the P.R. surrounding same. It's an ice fishing shack (set up inside the gallery space) covered in stock photos of people fishing. On the inside of the shack are many, many singing fish plaques rigged to a motion detector.

The second is a collaboration project where a bunch of artists were invited to create body parts which were then assembled into supposedly whimsical dolls. It's called 3-D Exquisite Corpse.

They both sound delightful.

All that said, Beast Wars actually explicitly states that the humans are vital to the Autobots' defeat of the Decepticons.  THAT'S why Megatron goes after the man-ape village, because he says the Autobots could not have won the war without the support of humans.

I could be wrong, but I think Lady Duke was referring to the episode where Cheetor, Depth Charge and Rattrap have to babysit the ape-kids.
