Bethesda games have an allergy to people of certain bloodlines. Like the way Vampires are weak to Belmonts.

Is anybody playing this at close-to-minimum system requirements? I'm hearing scattered reports that it runs just fine on such systems, but I'm trying to gather more data.

Don't you always have this problem with every Bethesda game? It might be genetic.

preeeeetty sure it's not that unusual to have problems with a bethesda title at release and in fact people were joking about it in this very thread naught but one page hence?

I've not had a single issue with this game... so... I dunno.... OK, after a bit today had one issue, for some reason a random Mammoth just floated up into the air about 75 feet, I shot him with an arrow, he fell back to the ground and died.... Free mammoth kill though, so not a BIG ISSUE.

I got it on the PS3, no problems at all, so far.  Kind of shocked, after the crash party Fallout 3 was.

Havok physics are not an issue they are awesome. Like the first shout you get once it's fully upgraded is pretty much the ragdoll button.

I had an issue where I burned a rooster and then had to kill a whole village.

That has to be a bug, right? I mean, who wants a fucking rooster crowing at dawn right next to their house?

Just make sure nobody sees you kill the rooster and you should be okay. Do it at night.

Does murdering a rooster in such a way allow you to join the dark brotherhood?

I'm not going to be getting this game because I don't care about TES, but in Fallout whenever there was a quest that had a chance of angering a town or group of people, I just ended up slaughtering everyone. I saved megaton from a nuclear bomb only to shoot everyone in the town.

Only if you are a chicken. Murder most fowl.

played for a few hours at a friends house

"shouting things off of tables"/"shouting at whildlife"/"shouting at giants" is a great game guys

I did one dungeon and the first step of the main quest and spent the rest of the time shouting at people/creatures/objects to get them to fly around

good stuff

After getting to the first town, I walked into the first house, where a lady got up to attack me.  I'm not really sure why, but whatever.  Then her husband came in to avenge her; that made some sense.  I walked around town, talked to Sven and his mother.  I shopped and sold and then went to see the blacksmith.  He attacked me as soon as I walked in.  So did his wife.  And, strangely, the son who I worked with to escape the dagron.  So I repaid their kindness in turn.

Only Hadvar refused to die.  I would beat him to the ground and then beat him a little extra.  He'd stay down for a bit, then get up and come at me again with full health.  After a few rounds, I just left the house.  So I went to see what was going on in the inn, where everyone attacked me.  The innkeeper would also not stay down.  Figuring something's wrong and I'll be starting over soon, anyway, I ran to the shop and killed the shopkeeper and his sister and began taking everything I could.  Then the shopkeep got up and I gave it to him again.  He was really weak, so I gave him about eight rounds as I leisurely went through his things.

Then I went outside and some elf is just raining arrows upon me.

I seriously have no idea if I like this game or not.
