I learnt today that Nigerian email scammers on Facebook seem to think my name is Ozymandias.

Oh also that I can confront someone and not totally ruin my relationship with them. But the other thing is more important.

This gives me an idea for a 419 troll that ends with "BEHOLD MY WORKS YE MIGHTY AND DESPAIR"

Before you ask, AJAX is more than Duckman's son.

AJAX is my favorite thing to explain to clients.  "It's not a programming language!  It's not a program!  AJAX IS NOT ANYTHING!!!"

And you thought you were safe when they finally shut the fuck up about DHTML.

DHTML is client-side Javascript trickery.
LAMP is server-side PHP/MySQL fuckery.
CLAMP is shoujo-side M/M buggery.

Well I meant more in the sense of they're both codewords for "do you know how to fucking program?"

Oh.  I always took them as the manager/client trying to show off by using buzzwords that were irrelevant to the[ir] application.

Do you really love LAMP?  Or are you just saying it because you saw it?

How is it that, of all people, the guy who owns my comic shop has never heard of Dr. Horrible?

Today I learned that my Federal Criminal Practice professor has a Wikipedia entry.

That kind of added context to some of the things he's said.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

Speaking of comics, on Wednesday I learned that my bags and boards are finally almost back to parity (I have two more bags than boards).

Before I did my big sorting project a few months back there were a lot of books that were bagged but not boarded, and it also turned out there were a few partially-used sets that had gotten misplaced that I found.

I really need to catch up on my bagging & boarding. I have probably somewhere around a hundred of them just lying around the house.

You know the old Batman theme that goes "BATMAAAAN"?

It doesn't. That's a really, really clever brass section.
