The cross-class stuff can't be used in raids or PVP (you need an active companion to use those special abilities), so they're basically just fun little things for the single player grind.

I've been playing TOR since launch and I love it.

That's out? And I still haven't done the original co-op campaign.

Me neither. PSN went down just after I finished the main game, and I didn't even get a chance to register the Steam version before then, so by the time I was able to play the co-op campaign I forgot about it.

Archers are completely broken. I only used two when I played through the game, but they did about 99% of the work. Next time I play this, I'm using no less than four.

The funny thing about the bosses is that there were unavoidable bosses in the original Deus Ex, too. (I'm here thinking of Mr. Hermann and Ms. Navarre.) Except that those had a tidy manner in which you could sidestep them if you were a l33t haxxor and read everybody's email.

So... they weren't unavoidable.

Nah, Amazon's a smart choice. Enjoy your games and emulators (after you get your card)!

Just buy the damn PSP already. There are barely any posts on this forum anymore and half of them are "Still haven't bought that PSP yet."

I voted for IV, V, and VIII. V and VIII are just absolutely my two favorite in the series -- I actually just beat VIII for the third time recently, and this time I actually beat all of the optional Dragovian Trials. I hate having to stop playing a great game after I complete everything.

It was actually sort of a toss-up between IV and IX for me -- there are many great things about IX, but I felt that the story was really weak (even for a DQ game), many of the optional quests were extremely irritating, and because I (as an American, particularly one who doesn't live in a major metropolitan area) didn't get the whole "tag mode" experience that was hyped up. It was fun swapping maps at that one GameStop event, but the events at Best Buy and certain malls weren't held anywhere near me. I even put the game in Tag Mode and brought it to an anime convention for a day and didn't get a single tag.

I gave a vote to FFXII, which I greatly enjoyed, although I prefer the IZJS version a hundred times more.

But the race in Chrono Trigger WAS bullshit. You just use a boost at the very end, bam, you win. I always just go up and down the whole time, to avoid bumping Johnny, and then boost at the finish line.

I quit BG&E at the first stealth section. A friend of mine got to the end, but then got stuck permanently due to some glitch, so I've never felt the urge to replay it.

Don't stress about that; the Salvation Army is surprisingly picky about taking stuff. We bought a ton of new furniture earlier this year, and the Salvation Army didn't want most of our old stuff due to minor scratches. We had a perfectly good couch with a fold-out bed that had a rip in the upholstery -- in the back, where most people will never see it if it's against a wall -- and they flat-out refused it. We even called local churches that took donations to get rid of the rest of our stuff, but they were just as particular as the Salvation Army with everything.

I don't know how it works in your state, but in California, you have to be employed AND be earning under a certain amount to be eligible for food stamps. For students, the same applies, but you need fewer hours of work per week.

...I wonder if having an unpaid internship counts as being employed? I'll likely be doing that by the end of the year and it would be great to have to spend less of my student loans on food.

I, personally, really enjoyed First Class. Not as good as X2, but better than the others, and a solid movie by itself.

Hmmm, apparently reviews for Green Lantern are being kept under wraps until the day before its release.

Out of curiosity, has there ever been a time when something that had embargoed reviews turned out to be really good? Or just pretty good?

Makes sense, though.  How else are you going to play a 13-year-old game if you're not running the latest firmware?

That might be relevant if it was a direct port or on VC, but it's a remake with all new graphics and extra features.

In the Blu-Ray version of The Nightmare Before Christmas (but not in the DVD special edition released at the same time), they edited the strings off of the bats in the opening. They removed the one thing that always bugged me (except for how much credit Burton gets for this film despite how little he actually put into it, but I digress).

That's cool. Did they do anything about the other thing that bugged me; that is, how you can clearly see a square around the moon in at least a few shots?

I bought the DVD version when it first came out almost a decade ago, but about a year later lost it while visiting out-of-town friends. I figured I should just one day replace it with the Blu-Ray version, but I was worried that stuff like the bat strings would only be more noticeable in HD.

Also FFTA3, where the characters are still all sprites.

I really want this too.

The lamest part of Nintendo's E3 showing to me was that Animal Crossing and Paper Mario still have a "TBD" release date. Seeing as both games looked pretty damn good last year, I have to wonder if it's because they want to hold back some of their games for later.

I don't keep up with new episodes, but I saw a bunch of screenshots of the Star Sapphire episode on 4chan, so presumably it was leaked or it aired internationally first.
