Well, yeah, if he only means Warhammer fanatasy, then it's less true, but they do do pretty ostentatious armour.

It's just not as comically exaggerated as 40k.

Er what?

He said they do realistic armour. Not "less ridiculous than 40k but still pretty nuts".

Have you ever seen a company of Bretonnian questing or graal knights??

EDIT: and usually when people who've played the game mean Warhammer Fantasy, they just say... Warhammer Fantasy (I know Buge collects and paints the figures at least). Without a suffix, it just refers to the whole shebang.

I enjoy the style of all most* things Tzeentch. Chaos to a lesser degree. Warhammer Fantasy artwork never ceases to amaze me - I have the art book from the collectors edition of Warhammer Online that I flip through occasionally.

However, Warhammer 40k is a mixed bag. Tau is interesting in their mechanized/armor designs, but on the same coin you have the ridiculous Space marines.

*I forgot I actually the daemons aren't too amazing. And Tzeentch himself isn't as cool as he could be.

You mean the ones who wear full war armour, livery and are mounted on barded and caparisoned horses? The ones who more or less look like medieval knights?

And yes, I was referring to Warhammer Fantasy. I wasn't aware that I had to be specific. They don't call it Warhammer Fantasy Online, after all.

For the record, I am well-acquainted with how over-the-top Warhammer Cash-in-your-401k can be.

 When I used to be big into Warhammer everybody who played called it Warhammer Fantasy to distinguish the two. I heard that in multiple locations, not just 'my store' or whatever. Didn't say you had to, just that everybody I ever heard of who was into the GW minis called it that.

The point here is that Mongrel defaults to thinking you're a retard who would consider the 40k armor "practical" instead of coming to a more sane conclusion.

I would be offended too.

I just like this avatar. I like seeing it when I load the page up. I enjoy this image. It's cheerful. It's fun. It amuses me. It makes me giggle. Not because it annoys anyone, but... just because.

I figured some of the sour pants kids would complain, but I already can't stand looking at derelict. Oh well, I dunno. De-karma me or something.

It's always something I dug about Warhammer versus WoW or latter-day D&D.
