Everybody is up until Monday Night, 9 PM Eastern!

Everyone: You have One Standard, Two Moves and One Minor this turn. Nossian's Utility.

Karvan: Your Blindness fades and you have Two Standards, Two Moves and One Minor this turn. DM ruling for Ragjen's utility from last turn.

Azura: You can loot a pair of the heavy explosives and they can be added as a Minor Action to your next Ranged Attack. It is a move Action to spawn adjancent to any Wall Tile on Floor 2 or 3. Dungeoneering Check 15 or better to arrive in one move, otherwise you use both moves.

Nossian backs away from the action and yells to his men, gesturing at the Mummy Wraps and then ordering most of them away, the same route the guests took to flee. "Protect the citizenry and get out of here before you bleed out! You can die under the care of the medics and not a moment sooner! THAT'S AN ORDER!" The two remaining guards flank Mummy Wraps and one of them even manages to impale him for 11 damage about the... uh... chest-wrappings.

Willard falls flat on his face and bleeds out a bit. He also shifts back into the realm fully, losing his Ethereal buff. He saves against the effect and his sap stops flowing... seems hard to make a tree watch it's own entrails fall out. He takes 5 damage from it and staggers up to his feet, focusing upon Tikka... and then Latir. "GWOR... HOR... GRRRRROORRRR!!!!" Willard raises his hands overhead and conjures up a massive boulder from thin air! He hurls it straight at Latir, whom is able to stand his ground behind his shield and deflect it entirely! Due to the retreat of everybody else, the straight-line projectile doesn't crash into anybody else before shattering on the far wall! Willard hops up and down and stamps his feet and little gouts of steam rise from the wisps of flame in his eye as he gets maaaaad.

Gesturing from the side with a hand-held snow globe orb, Ansom thrusts at Latir while crying out. "Leaf ze gentile gy-ant alone, hyu min-tale midjit!" A spectral fist appears before Latir and clocks him soundly for 13 Force and 1 Cold damage, knocking him prone and three squares North! Ansom smirks smugly. Mummy Wrappings is feeling the pressure from all this flanking and being stabbed... he throws his hands up and his coat billows outwardly as his wrappings dissolve and the garments making up most of his form fly into the air, tornadoing forward! Hidden blades slash at the guards and Maximilian from the sleeves, boots, collar... all that sort of thing, dealing a vicious 14 Damage to Maximilian and 19 Damage to a Guard! It also repositions him nicely in a full Shift, denying you tasteful opportunities for regular Attacks of Opportunity.

Rumble.

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE

The ah... the floor appears to be quaking violently. The Northern Wall of the first floor collapses entirely in a 40-foot high cave-in! Crashing into the room is a colossal land-whale like beast, as big as the hole it makes! The colossal creature looks like a huge yellow-brown hill given life, with no eyes, several things that could pass for massive mouths and a pair of heavy limbs mashing at the stone beneath it as though playing with mud. The entire thing seems to be sweating a strong stinking acid. The top of the Delver is visible and provides visibility to and from the second Floor of the map.

Standing atop the front of the Delver is a tall Drow woman wearing a dark blue old-style Officer's uniform, a throwback to the notion two years ago of a united Gateway army, ruined in part by the actions of one Fools-Errant. Stripped of any emblems relating to Gateway, it simply resembles a very dignified military ship Captain's outfit, shoulders rimmed with stark white tassels, platinum buttons polished just so to match the gleaming set of professional black boots. Dark gray skin and the overall gloominess of the outfit let the natural pure white hair stand out even further, knit in tight dreadlocks and with the last inches of it dyed blonde at the tips. The woman holds a regal Officer's silver sabre in her right hand and a gleaming blunder-pistol in her left, the barrel blocked by what appears to be... a glass bubble filled with swirling orange-yellow powder?

Dread: "This doesn't look like any hostage negotiation I've ever seen, you dolts." She steps to the very edge of the Delver's head and gestures down at the second floor balcony with her blade. "Holsten Holdings! Do you not value the lives of the Sydneys? Or your own?" Dread holds her action.

Benedetto comes up behind Tikka and blasts the Mummy Wrappings with a bit of vibrant and heated salsa singing for 7 damage, setting it on fire! Nossian fires his pistol skywards and barks out. "Hostages?! Come now, we've got to get this rabble under wraps!" Under Nossian's orders and the Formation of the White Roc, you all get +1 Move Action! Wanda gestures at Mummy Wraps and unleashes an arcing double-bolt of lightning that crashes through it's "torso" for 11 radiant damage and Blinds it UEONT!

Veihj stands atop the chandelier, holding his action. He looks down to the second floor and to Latir and Karvan.

As soon as the mummy wraps settle on the ground behind him Maxi shifts around and dodges toward it keeping low to the ground, his claws digging into the floor with each step, at the last second he faints toward the wraps and comes upon the wraps low hoping to rip its legs or whatever its standing on out from under it. (using my first move action to get into range to use [Unbalancing Trick] as my second.)

Seeing the mummywraps clearly taking a lot of damage (bloodied) throws Maxi a bit over board and he bites into the wraps while he's driving it into the ground. [Swift Bite]

As Ansom flings his spell at Latir, Latir's armor sprays a blast of acid back at Ansom, but misses.

Latir stands up (one move action) and moves (other move action) where indicated. He takes stock of his own wounds (Second wind, +2 all defenses) and calls out again.

"Would someone tell Morgiana to get down from there, and handle that imbecile with the ridiculous accent for a few minutes? Willard." clang on shield "And I." clang on sheild "Have some business to attend to. Standing with your back to the wall and flinging boulders like a coward will only prolong the inevitable, lumber-heap!"

Karvan's blindness fades and he sets his deadly gaze upon Ansom, with a vicious grin Karvan steps forward, Using one move action to Shift one square into ansom's face he swings his shield in a vicious [Shove and Slap], slaming into Ansom, the secondary attack doesn't do anything to Willard as his high fort causes Karvan to auto-miss. The force of his blow pushes Ansom back and Karvan Shifts once more, with the movement granted by Shove and Slap, to be next to him. Growling, "YOU HAVE MADE A GRAVE ERROR IN JUDGEMENT!" Karvan's second attack is an [Armored Assault] against the staggering Ansom. He uses his flail to wrap Ansom's legs up and throw him one square to the side and Prone onto his back Before blowing an action point and whirling his flail around and down on Ansom's fallen, combat advantage granting, form in a vicious [Blades from all Angles]. The attack misses and Karvan's flail head slams hard into the ground next to Ansom's head, causing dust to kick up and shards from the ground to fly over him as Karvan lets out a vicious roar, snarling, "YOU WOULD DARE OPPOSE ME!? I AM THE TIDE OF BATTLE!" He takes a [Dragon Breath] and breathes dragon-ice onto Ansom's fallen form.

Ansom: "'ow... uncoooth..." And he blacks out, his delicate locks frosting over and sticking to his face.

Dread stops holding her action and uses a Move action to fire at Latir with her blunder-pistol, the glass bauble flying off in a long mortar-style arc and leaving a trail of the vibrant orange-yellow dust as it goes. It shatters upon his torso and covers him entirely in... well, only one of the Stonier races would even recognize the scent, let alone appreciate that it has a scent.... powdered Topaz?

The Delver becomes Hungry and surges forward, crashing through the balcony of Floor 2 effortlessly and collapsing the stairs in the way of it's flippers!

As a Minor, Dread attaches a new glass orb to the front of her blunder-pistol, this one full of a swishy, oily substance easily recognizable to any trained Alchemist(Arcana 20.) She then uses her remaining Standard to brandish her sword, holding it before her face for a moment... the lights cast from the chandelier above give her a few dimmed, conflicting shadows from multiple angles but now they all come together as one tangible mass of darkness, writing up her legs, clipping across her torso and spreading to her arms and shoulders like wildfire. Latir, your haversack begins to forcefully pulse and the heat it is generating is very uncomfortable. Like the dungeon you found it in, you hear voices in strange tongues whispering to your mind. At the same time, Dread looks confused... but immediately trades the expression in for one of delight. As a Free action, she whispers to her vest pocket.

"Quint, they have an Artifact that isn't Gertrude's."

Dr Quint: "Hah! Then butcher the lot!"

Maxi hears these two lines.

Sengoku Rance OST - Drivin' to the Dead

Dread swings her saber in a dramatic flourish as the Tendril of Shadow manifests fully! She unleashes a slash through the air at Latir that draws in the light and wind around her with an audible hiss before rocketing down upon him, the slash blooming into a violent shockwave! Dread screams over it. "Kill the Hostages! Kill the Rest! Detonate the charges! TAKE THE DWARF ALIVE!" Dread's Violent Slash crashes into Latir and in a sensation similar to using the Shield Killer drains 1 Healing Surge and inflicts 25 Necrotic Damage.

Dread can now be melee'd from the Second Floor.

Hearing the hubbub below, Azura decides it might be a good time to grab Chadwick, and find a safer place. True to his word, he's still hiding behind the rock, and she gestures to him to join her.

"We're getting out of here. Stay by my side, unless I tell you to run. And then you run, and don't look back. Here, take this, and don't be afraid of using it," she says quickly, pulling the fire stiletto out of her hair, and handing it to him. She scans around quickly, and decides to traverse through the room with the grenades as quickly as possible, to keep away from the ballroom, but be as far past the grenades when they eventually explode as possible.

"If you get any gut instincts about which way we should go once we're down that tunnel, let me know. But stay quiet, and keep up," she says, and (after rolling a Dungeoneering check 1d20 +11 yields 12 + 11 = 23) breaks into a run, carefully dodging the grenades scattered on the ground, and quickly getting 80 feet down a winding tunnel. (Thanks, Undaunted Stride, and sprinting allowing an extra +2).

Also, Doomers: Azura has Evade Ambush, so she and Chadwick cannot be taken by surprise by any nasties waiting further down in the tunnels. Just in case you were gonna try.

Tikka spins around in place, partially due to attempting to ascertain the changing battlefield and understandably due to the shaky footing caused by the entire building being assaulted by the delver.  Luckily, with Benedetto right at her side, she can maintain some manner of dignity by pressing a hand against his side during her stumble and making the entire thing look like one more step in their impromptu dance.  She fumes!  This building was absolutely lovely, and its increasingly shoddy, crumbling facade evokes a genuine sense of loss and anger.  It was the first place she had gotten applause at in quite some time!  Torn between the new threat and the old, she decides that one less threat is better than a new one and a weakened old one working in tandem.  She hurries backwards, edging around to put Latir beside her and between herself and Dread (a big shield is comforting in the face of an unknown threat, as it turns out!) while keeping her eyes on Willard.  If the tree goes down, and the Mummy Wraps follow shortly .. that just leaves one (well, two) big targets, right?  As far as she can see!

Tikka slings her strings, taking advantage of the acoustics of Latir's nearby shield to confuse the origination of the trunk-splitting sounds in order to smack Willard mightily with a [Misdirected Mark]!

Ragjen groaned as he rushed towards Willard, his armor too heavy for constant fast motion. Rushing as fast as he could (double move), he seemed out of breath as he reached his target. He looked up and spat a blob of Acid at Willard. As soon as he regained his breath, he swung his flaming hammer at his opponent.

The false Chadwick, holding Morgiana, emerges from Willard and 'takes a flying leap' from his trunk, landing several feet away. Both of them look suitably disheveled, covered in sap and bits of bark, and they dash behind Nossian (double move), as he appears to be a suitably broad fellow. Morgiana and the succubus huddle together, apparently frightened.

"What is that thing?" Morgiana cries out. She wonders if their subterfuge still holds. If it does, then boy is Chadwick going to look good after this.

All PCs are up until Wednesday Night! Dread and Nossian will go Tuesday Night! All other NPCs will go Wednesday Night!

The remaining Guards flee the map. The Delver raises a fin, effortlessly smashing through the floor and swatting at Latir's footing... the impact buckles his legs painfully and splashes him with a broad spray of acid, but the majority of it is blocked for a halved 11 damage(half acid.) For now, Willard's upcoming movement blocks the hole made.

Willard bellows in fury and waddles hap-hazardly at Latir, attempting to grab him! He succeeds and plucks Latir, squeezing his ribs in a magnificently painful manner for 27 physical damage. "GWORRRR HOR HOR HOR HOR!" Latir feels a mild compulsion to hoot as his eyes bulge from the intense pressure. Willard drops Latir at his feet and continues guffawing.

Willard provokes Attacks of Opportunity from Ragjen and Karvan.

Wanda cries out, genuinely scared. "Latir! Are you alright?! You sound..." Her mace shimmers and a bit of restorative divinity fixes some of that crushed ribcage. Latir's over-all bounce is down to 48 and back up to 83 HP. Wanda moves away from the eager one-on-one between Latir and Willard and brandishes her mace again, an arc of lightning cracking across the edge of Willard's trunk and blasting some bark away for a boosted19 radiant damage, granting Latir 6 Temporary HP.

Bendetto busts out the big guns, launching into a Barber Shop Choir number as he rails upon Willard with Words of Mystic Warding. "Hello, Hello, Hello! Ya got trouble, see!" The enchanted words boom out and shock-wave Willard from behind for a boosted 30 psychic damage and mark him... if he approaches Latir, he'll take an additional 5 damage each time!(Save Ends!) Ben then dances over to the side, splitting up from Tikka as she moves.

Mummy Wraps takes damage from being on fire before successfully Saving against it, stamping itself out. It turns and thrusts both arms forward and unleashes an avalanche of lurid white wrappings upon Maximilian in a TP Grapple. It misses and the wraps fall harmlessly about him!

Azura: You're not Surprised, since you aren't Ambushed. You move very quickly and can join the battle this turn adjacent to any wall tile on Floor 2 or 3, provided it isn't in mid-air. You could also exit the Temple.

Up above, Byss Sincent drops out of stealth and ducks into the explosives room. He lights a prepared fuse and books it.

With Willard on the ropes, Tikka dances neatly around the edge to avoid the unhinged motions of the massive treant and to look for another opportunity to chip away at his cracking bark.  Noting that Karvan and Latir will be taking him apart in no time flat at this rate, so she scans the battlefield for another target to help even out the odds .. zeroing in on the mummy wraps teetering close to the newest interloper.  Swishing her fingers across her strings, she fires an explosively uptempo song of discord, intending to blast the wraps straight into the waving, blind paws of the massive delver and get it out of the picture for good.

Maxi steps forward a few paces to make his shot counts, pulls his hand cross bow and lines up a shot at the glowing ball on the end of Dread's gun and fires.

Taking Dread's NPC turn really late. Rest of you slackers still got several hours tonight.

Knocked into the Delver's highly acidic figure, the Mummy Wraps crashed into it hard and dissolves a good amount before flopping forward onto the ground, just a set of fine clothes and dirty bandages spread out along the ground, KO'D? Maximilian's shot lands true and destroys Dread's Virulent Alchemist Fire Shot, causing it to ignite upon her for 25 Damage. The chemical flames mix nicely with the aura of shadows about her, but she only grits her teeth and prepares to go on the offensive...

With Willard positioned for the big finale, Veihj brandishes his *brand new sword* and slashes at the main support chain holding the chandelier up! The entire great display of glass and metal crashes down upon Latir, Dread, Willard and the Delver! Latir takes 49 mixed slashing/smashing damage! Willard and Dread take 37 and 44 respectively, with a drop in the bucket of 42 for the Delver!

Veihj raises his sword and cheers as Latir and Dread vanish beneath the avalanche of glass. The Delver bellows lightly... did it feel something? A predator's cut? Ehhh. Willard sways back and forth unsteadily, groaning. Willard is stunned! Veihj looks from side to side to the others and pumps his hands, feeling very good about himself and, well, surviving the fall down without any scrapes or bruises. He lets out a little gasp and whirls around as a large portion of the glass is blasted away in a shockwave, Dread standing up out of the wreckage, bits of glass, shadow, fire and blood dripping around her like a magically brutal confetti swirl.

As a Minor utility, Dread's shadows consume the Virulent Alchemist's Fire and surge around her gun-hand. With a Standard She opens fire on Maximilian, for a Critical 55 damage, as well as igniting him with the Virulent Alchemist's Fire for an Ongoing 25 Damage(Save -2 Ends)! Nossian cries out in alarm and offers Maximilian some words of encouragement to grant him a surge of HP back up to 39. "You're not allowed to die either, boy! You can rest when your legs give out! Now march!"

Consuming her final Move, Dread quick-draws her pistol away and gestures at Veihj with the shadow-wreathed saber, her aura of shadows melting down around her and into the ground, where it creeps along the remnants of the chandelier and seizes his own like a ravenous beast, Marking him. "Time to learn what happens when you try to play the hero.[/b]

Nossian blows his remaining move to yell at Ragjen and spur him into a Quick Step, giving him +2 Speed until the end of the encounter. "Stand firm, lads! Form a bulwark around that lizard boy!" He opens fire on Dread with the modified Shot and Stock, shooting her for 15 damage and giving Latir a free melee basic attack against Dread!
