It's unplayably stuttery for me. Freezes 10 to 15 seconds long, every 2 seconds. What is it? Some kind of cave construction set?

The server constantly saves the map file, so it will be easy to transfer if anyone else wants to host the server.

Guess I'll just build a new one.

Okay.  So you can run around, dig tunnels, and flood them.  You can also spawn tons of running jumpy guys.  Is that all this does?  Is this a not very lego blockland?  This is severely lacking in dwarfs.

Has anyone bought this yet? I bought it in anticipation for the survival multiplayer. If anyone here is interested, I might try to host a server. It might be a bit hard on my computer, but I think it would be possible.

Yeah, I'm totally in on this.  Despite my misgivings earlier in this thread, Minecraft has come a long, long way into becoming a real game instead of a fancy sandbox.  I'd be interested in fiddling around in an online survival server that someone puts up when it becomes available.

The game gets intense at some points. Most of the fun comes from exploring and seeing all of the crazy shit the world gen has created. The first few nights when you are starting to gather materials is sort of scary, especially if you didn't set up somewhere safe.

I died about 7 times here. I managed to keep the house intact, but it had a chasm around it due to creepers.

Minecrafting with Nessassin

Survival Multiplayer comes out tomorrow. It won't have everything finished, since the mobs won't be in it, but it will still be fun.

So, the contents of your inventory and chests aren't saved at the moment, meaning that there isn't much to the game at all. If you still want to build stuff in one sitting, I have a server up for now.

Nevermind it is way too buggy to call this fun right now.

Maybe if I try stuff outside of the protected spawn area it will work better.  :nyoro~n:

Correct me if I'm wrong here:
Didn't this also destroy everything in his inventory, and all his furniture that was on that wall?
Explosions usually just scatter everything. If a chest full of stuff explodes, all of it's contents fly all over the place, and the same happens to your inventory if you die.

Server update: Furnaces do not work it seems. I have already read that a 6 player server can use up to 200kbps, which is way over my upload speed. I can already see some lag when I am playing alone on the server, so I can only imagine how bad it will be with more people. Maybe the bandwidth usage will be fixed, but I'm not sure if I will be able to host this if it isn't.
