It's not just that. Minecarts don't work, breakable items last forever, or duping. The 'end game' of Singleplayer is pretty lame as is, so not even having much else to do but continue making giant big things is kinda boring. I'm sure a lot of this stuff will get fixed soon, but "IF HE FIXES HEALTH EVERYTHING WOULD BE GOOD" is a pretty stupid comment, imo.

Actually they could spawn INSIDE them. I'm not too afraid about damage or monsters or anything, I'm just saying that enough stuff needs to be done so multiplayer doesn't devolve into a more boring single player, as opposed to a communal creative mode. So if it takes a few more updates after the 30th to make it that way, whatever.

I thought they only spawned in darkness.  If the interior is lit, you're fine.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

Yeah. Kayin's saying that some of his floating structures get pretty dark inside!

Enemy mobs spawn on blocks with a light value of 7 or less. A block with a torch in it has a light value of 14, and any block with a non-zero light value raises the light value of adjacent blocks up to its own minus 1. So you have to make sure every walkable tile in your construction is within 7 blocks of a torch, taking into account whether the torch is at floor level or elevated and if it has to "flow" around obstacles.

Thank you for explaining exactly why all of my structures will eventually be crawling with criminal scum. I will keep this lighting advice in mind for the future.

With the impending patch and server reset/second instance opening I've been feeling kinda blase about all I've done there, and how lame my creation is, etc

but then a few minutes ago I was looking through my public dropbox folder and I saw

and then I logged back in and I saw

And you know, I feel a lot better about it. Especially since I had no plans or designs beyond "a castle, lol" when I started this thing.

Man, LOGAL's awesome, to say nothing of your glorious oversea roads, which I use constantly. I'm envious of anybody who can plan a structure and actually see it to completion; I've started, like, five different projects so far, and the only one I finished was that goofy Klein bottle-inspired structure.

The raw architecture for my cliff-side castle is nearly finished; I still need to furnish it properly, though, and I wanted to build a port under it.

MCAdmin goes for a rather novel approach to terms of service:

That's, uh. The validation key for the MCAdmin master list.
