I get around that by forcing myself to believe in the invincibility of people I like. I am pretty sure Niku is unable to die.

In the meantime, I have no idea what you guys are getting so freaked out about with slugs. Or feeling your own blood for that matter. It's one of the few comforting things about having your blood drawn.

You know, on further examination I think it's only slugs eating that truly terrifies me.

Is it so wrong to find those both kind of cute?

I think feeling my blood move is one of the most interesting sensations I've discovered.

For a long time, though, I was very anxious that anytime I got a phone call, it would be because someone died. This is also why I don't like it when people call after 10PM.

Yes.  Nothing says cute like 'pulsating butthole delicately ass-voring a leaf.'

The one eating a flower is pretty cute. It's hard for something that spends it's days eating flowers to not be cute.

I don't know why Esperath is so haughty about being a deuterostome. Fuck that guy.

Police: I'm not sure why on this one. I'm a young, white male from a middle-class family and rarely ever have I done something wrong immediately before seeing a police car or officer. Still, every time I see one I think of everything I have done, could have done, or currently am doing that could be considered illegal.

Medication: Avoiding regularly prescribed medications because I don't want to end up with a Quaid / Hauser effect.

The action leading up to this was:

You are covering yourself in goopy slime.  You are finding it difficult to breathe.  Continue anyway? (Y/N)

I get uncomfortable in classrooms if I'm not sitting in one of the back corners. Thank god for people who actually, voluntarily, like to sit in the front of classrooms.

Sometimes when my cats are really still I worry that one of them died and I just didn't notice.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

I worry about my dog all the time. He barks quite a bit and when he STOPS I start freaking out. Adding to this is the fact that there are some JUVENILE DELINQUENTS in the neighborhood who once snuck into my yard and spray painted him.   So now when he barks I worry they've come back to harass him again. And when he stops, I worry he's passed on.

Oh, Heights. Freakin' anything obviously higher than 10' is guaranteed to put my heart rate through the roof and have me shiver and sweat. It's also happened at lesser heights.

Huh, same here. But then may cats are older and both are a little ill.
