much like the razorback, I really disapprove of any item where all it does is counter one specific class kinda.

That would be sweet (and less specifically "anti-spy") if it was true infra-red and you could see "through" walls.

Honestly, if they gave the engineer x-ray glasses that took away the shotgun and the pistol, I would take them. You could be God with that wrench.

Weird Idea inspired by the goggles.


Engie (Spy?)

Name:  Spy Camera
- Takes  up the Pistol slot
M1: Sets down the Spy Camera.  After a few seconds, it becomes cloaked for a good length of time.  Engineer can refill the timer by whacking it (like ammo for the sentry)
M2 for any other weapon after setting Spy Camera:  Change sight to that of the Spy Camera.  Can freely look around from that fixed position.  M1 while using the spy camera cycles through a few different view modes, such as that of the Tex Specs spy-detection.

Kinda neat?  Not sure how useful it'd actually be but seems like it would be fun to play with?  Maybe have them be a building that costs, like, 40 metal, and the engie can set down 3 or so of em.  M2 would cycle between the different cameras?  Doens't seem worthwhile enough to replace any particular building, though.  Maybe while using the camera you can designate targets for mini-crits for you team?

Just an idea!

Upon further concideration and deliberation I agree to both dreth's concern and Mongrel's idea of a correction for this problem.

But wait, what's this? My final and ultimate unlockable weapon in my brilliant fictional Engineer update: Geothermal Edition!

Actually I don't like this one as much as my other two.

Following the

Piece Maker

and the

Tex Specs

Comes

The Desert Rattler
level 69 Rattle Gun

  • repairs and upgrades buildings at a steady, analog, sustained rate rather than in chunks per whack like the wrench does (vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!)
  • breaks sappers in a jiffy!(slower than the wrench but at a constant rate)
  • allows the contruction of a Collector
  • the Collector when build next to ammo/pickups will pick up the health and ammo whenever they spawn and immediately give it to the engineer that build the Collector if he is not topped up in health or ammo
  • the Desert Rattler is a precision instument and should not be used as a melee weapon in any capacity or its components could be seriously damaged.

Have it do about as much damage on a hit as a baseball, and then it jams for the duration of a swing or two.

I still want a boomerang wrench.
It does less damage when you swing it but you can throw it with M2.

Once they do that, I will be happy with nothing but engie

Is it difficult to add weapons to TF2? Should we learn Source modding, go through the thread and implement some of these for Shadow Moses, in the hopes of making the next community unlocks pack?

Or is that exactly what Wizards Valve wants? :keikaku:

Irrelevant: Valve made the items, but not the models. I doubt they take submissions like this.

Looking at this broken electro sapper, it seems like the only real sap...*puts on Tex Specs" was the spy.

Like the regular sandwich, but alt fire zooms in instead of throwing the sandwich. No other alterations.

The Peace Engineer/Piece Maker


  • Replaces the Pistol
  • Only six shots loaded (more than enough to...) and 18 shots in reserve
  • same damage as pistol, fires half as fast or maybe slower still (pistol fires pretty damn fast) and reloads much slower
  • opponents hit by the peace engineer cannot fire their weapons for 0.5 seconds
  • Makes that spaghetti western ricochet noise when it hits something

The idea is for Engineers to fire at people that are trying to break things or chase them, preventing them from firing enough to succeed in breaking the sentry or killing the fleeing engineer.

Would it have an effect on the regular ubered?

I want to say that it would work just like the baseball does. Does that still stun ubered guys?

Either way, it might be OP if it did. But I'm not sure. I mean, if you are sitting there shooting:

A) You can only hit one person and stop them from firing for a grand total of 3 seconds before you have to reload

B) You can't be repairing anything while you are firing.

C) You'd usually have to expose yourself to fire at someone.

So I honestly can't say off the top of my head how it would have to work to be both balanced and cool without actually play testing it.

The Sandman no longer stuns the ubered, no. And those it does stun are just prevented from firing unless it's a hit from maximum range.

Rotten Sandvich
Like a frontstab for heavy, he just shoves them right down people's throats.

Also if someone picks up a dropped rotten sandvich it's 50 HP damage.
