Hey kids.
The main reason I wanted to post was that I wanted to put together a linkback community. I have a baseball blog (http://www.other62.com/) now, and I plan on starting a personal blog (one that doesn't devolve into me going FUCK YOU WORLD, FUCK YOU) in the near future. I know I'm not the only one of us who has taken much of his personal narrative off the forums, but that shouldn't divorce us of contact.
So anybody who's interested should post a link to their blogs or other websites here. I'll link it on my blogs, and you can link mine on yours.
A secondary concern arises: What the hell do we call ourselves? Gone are the days when we referred to ourselves as "Pyokites." I mean, I don't even fucking know what "pyoko" is supposed to mean.
So, when you post a link to your shit, please let me know who the fuck we are.

Obviously, we should be The Worst Community Ever.
-
Even though I dislike the Simpsons, I suppose that's probably what we're going to end up with.
-
Pyoko was just some little saccharine sweet anime thing, right? Maybe we can just call ourselves Chiyo-chans or something.

You could call yourselves Non-Pyokites, since that's pretty much what defines you.

Is there going to be some kind of article site that will be taken down in a couple months or so? Because otherwise, I don't see a rush. :pimp:
-
I get the sardonic tone, but I don't get what you're actually trying to say.
-
I'm actually trying to say roar im a lion

So is that code for undergoing gender reassignment surgery, or for undergoing species reassignment surgery?
-
I think it's code for "GET IN THE CAR".
-
I have one of these things. (http://tedbelmont.blogspot.com/) I'm up to two posts now!

ART BLOG (http://wingsinmotion.livejournal.com/)
On Kazz's perfect recommendation, I've opted to start posting my glorious masterpieces here instead of on any of these boards. This will involve a dramatic increase in finished works, featuring a wider array of content and a larger variety of characters that, in addition to being legitimately charming and well-rounded personalities, also occasionally get naked. It's too bad they're furries, I guess? ;__;

Back to community names:
The advantage of "Worst Community Ever" is, of course, that it's obvious and matches the forum name.
The disadvantage is that I think the "Worst ____ Ever" bit is a little hackneyed at this point (though I disagree with Kazz's complaining about Simpsons, as usual; one, I do think the "worst ____ ever" expression significantly predates CBG's popularization of same; two, even if you're in the club that doesn't think there's been a good Simpsons episode in ten years, "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show" is damned brilliant).
"The Community" is straightforward and fits the Mother Russia motif nicely. Lots of one-word titles match that description.
We also have a thread full of band names (http://boards.pyoko.org/index.php/topic,614.0.html) on the old board that could be repurposed.
EDIT: On looking through that thread, I notice Geo's list of DJ names (http://boards.pyoko.org/index.php/topic,614.msg17684.html#msg17684) included "D James".
I dated a chick named D James in college.
That's kinda creepy, man.

It was a bad idea to have both discussions at once. I'm going to make a new thread for the community name thing.
Regarding the Blogodex: I didn't think about it earlier, but furry porno and baseball don't precisely go hand in hand. Not that I care, I'll backlink anything, but we are going to have one eccentric-ass blog community going.
A few questions: Who knows how to put together a feed of recent posts on a collection of blogs? I suppose we could feed each one seperately, but that would require a tremendous amount of sidebar if the dex really grew.
Secondly, who is blogging actively as part of their daily routine, and who just has a blog and updates it whenever they remember to? Should we make a distinction? I would hate for the blogodex to get crowded with three-post abandoblogs.

It does if you've been enjoying too much of the former and need to calm down.

Is my presence going to detract from this link list of WFE member blogs? D:
Ah, whatever. If you really do feel that way, feel free to not include it in the list -- just promise you won't throw things at me if I end up deciding to show up at this year's Bronto/WFEkon. -__-

I've been maintaining a barebones prototype of my art blog to share with close friends for almost a year, so.

Look guys, Doom has some sort of outlet (http://doomunit.blogspot.com/)
PM, IM, whisper, IRC, AIM or otherwise bother me if you want to link and link-back to one another.
-
Can lurkers participate? I write a column for Parish's Gamespite.net called "Add To Queue" and I have a blog at www.vsrobot.com. PM me if you decide it's worthy of your link farm and I'll reciprocate.

HAY GUISE WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS THREAD

Mine definitely fits the "abandoblog" moniker, though I do have more than 3 posts.

I still play WOW. I blog about it when I'm at work because I really have nothing better to do.
